Being an owner of the 1.5 NA SX model, I would easily recommend this car to anyone. It’s an overall package of everything. Looks may be subjective but if you’ll see it in person, you’ll definitely have your eyes stuck and will appreciate the design. It offers the best road presence of any new car for sure
Is the Ground Clearance a problem? Just want to evaluate this before going ahead as Ill drive it in Mumbai mostly and roads here are very bumpy and full of pot holes.

@@saketmudholkar4334 see nowadays roads are far better in cities then they used to be like 15 years ago..Unless and until you love in an area where roads are uneven more then usual only then you should be going for cars with more g.c..otherwise 170mm is more then adequate if you love in cities like delhi,chandigarh or any developed city..
@@saketmudholkar4334 of the potholes are deep then strict no for sedans..but potholes are manageable then there won't be much of an issue

Hi @MotorOctane, love your in-depth videos! Could you please make a detailed video on the steering wheel functions of the Hyundai Verna 1.5 Turbo DCT SX (O)?
I own the top end, 1.5 turbo dct sx(o). And i can tell you from my experience that its one hell of a car. The performance is unmatched, so is the driving experience. The car looks, feels and drives amazing.
Only criticism is the ground clearance, that too only when the car is fully loaded with 5 people and heavy luggage. I didnt scrape any speed breaker when it was only two people in the car. However, under full load i did scrape some big speedbumps.

@@murtyanantapalli7935 In city it averages 10kmpl if driven softly. In highway it gives around 15kmpl with decent driving. Will give 18kmpl if driven at 80-85kmph but it will also give 11-12kmpl if driven a bit rough.

My ownership experience with Verna 2023 ivt
Mine was the 3rd Verna to be delivered in the entire city of Bangalore. And since then I’ve driven it around 2500 km.
- the ride quality is insane! I feel it beats a lot of SUVs given that this Verna has a relatively soft suspension. Can’t feel any potholes or speed breakers. I wasn’t expecting this. This is a downside in German cars. They have a much harder suspension.
- the harder suspension in the German cars make their drivability and handling much better than the Verna. However, for average speeds in the city and also at 120-150 speeds on the highway you won’t feel much of a difference even in the Verna due to the ESP. And it’s not like it’s handling is bad at all. It’s just that the German cars have stiffer suspension.
- features are loaded. And everything is useful. Nothing is a gimmick. Except for the sunroof obviously.
- the ADAS really works! And works well!!! This is a miss in the German cars. And a huge miss. Front parking sensors are a must in such a long car and German cars don’t provide that.
- Mileage right now isn’t great. Around 10 in city. 16 on highways. And I drive with medium foot. Not to hard. Not too soft.
- Now coming to one of the main points that I was worried about since I had not taken a test drive of the car when I bought it- the power. Since I have a IVT and a non turbo. I was very scared that I will get a lot of rubber band effect. And I wont get the power to overtake. And I was pleasantly surprised. There is no lack of power. In fact it’s a beast! And most importantly what Rachit didn’t cover in this video are the paddle shifters. They work like a dream. And you can actually have that little bit of enthusiast feeling using them as rubber band effect goes to 0 while using them. It lets you rev as much as you want and holds it. And it’s actually “intelligent”
- Lastly, yes the safety ratings around out. But the reason I would still prefer my car over German cars is because of maintenance and the easy and smooth service that Hyundai offers. I’ve 3 Hyundai cars. And one Polo. And Hyundai service is much much much better. And much cheaper. VW or Škoda is a headache!
One downside - no wireless apple car play :(
Yes no wireless is a true miss. And mileage won’t be anything more than what you get if you drive majorly in traffic.
One thing that I’m not sure of is whether the ivt top model that I have have a normal cruise control or the adaptive cruise control. I didn’t try using it during the one road trip I got to have. If you can clarify it will be great!
wish I could buy new Verna (Turbo version) in my country but Hydundai here has not made any announcement on this new version yet.

@@karanmalhotra2666 how come? Mine is SX optional but no wireless CarPlay. Have they done the same thing like the i20? The lower variants have the wireless one. But the top variant doesn’t. Lol

The real pain will start when you will give your Car to the Service Centre.
This is a newly launched Model,
first four years - you won't get parts because its a new model,
Later - you won't get parts because its now old, not successful and blah blah
Also, the Hyundai authorised Service centres in India are very substandard - they ruin your car, will misplace parts, deteriorate your vehicle and blame you for it.
A 5days work will take atleast 2months to sort out.
The Top 2-3 models, all parts with same size are very expensive, you drop one model less and same part will cost you about 1/8 or 1/10 - thats Hyundai strategy in India.
They give you a new Car instantly but FOR PARTS, YOU HAVE TO WAIT A LIFETIME and for good service - simply DON'T VISIT their AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRES.
Still wanna buy Hyundai - Go ahead and feel the trauma yourself.

As the person behind the phrase "good build quality is your invisible insurance," it's disappointing to see him praise Verna's build quality and safety without providing substantial evidence. This is even more concerning when considering that no Hyundai car specifically designed for India has achieved more than a three-star safety rating or a stable body shell.
His credibility takes another hit when he lauds the vehicle's ground clearance, which remains unchanged from the previous generation. Furthermore, while he commends the inclusion of six airbags in the base variant, he neglects to mention its lack of ESP and the fact that the similarly-equipped Kia Karens scored only three stars with an unstable body shell. These inconsistencies, unfortunately, leaves one feeling let down as a long-time viewer and cast doubt on his credibility.
