Literally THEE best tutorial on RUclips on geodes just enough information & commentary. Loved the finished product!!! I have literally all the same supplies patiently waiting on my heat gun can’t wait to create. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your kind words ! Makes me so happy. I’m glad I could be of help and I’d love to see what you end up making!! Tag me @_dmpaints on Instagram :)
So I’m not gonna lie, when I saw you starting to lay down the resin I was thinking what on earth is she doing and I kept watching to see where you were going with this. What you were doing was completely different than anything I’ve seen and therefore I didn’t understand it. But I want to tell you the way you created your geode was absolutely phenomenal. It was beautiful as nice as I’ve seen anybody do without all the complications that everybody else keeps sticking in to their tutorials. I love the simplicity and the beauty that you’ve got with it. I am subscribing to your channel because I think I have a lot to learn from you. Absolutely beautiful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
I am so excited I clicked on this video. I saw a video of yours on another geode a few years ago. Life happened and I got distracted. When I got back to it a year or so ago I couldn't remember your name or find your video. But here you are!! You gotta know nobody does a better job in geode tutorials as you do. I'd know. You give so much info. I appreciate you and I'm glad to see your still around. Best wishes
This was really a great instructional video of geodes! The right amount of information for anyone to get started and add their creative touches to it. Thank you so much for doing this! 😍
DiankaPours gives helpful tips too she said when you do your lines try not to stop cause it will show where you stop and begin and also when you do your lines with glitter use a syringe needle that way you have control and wont have glitter all over the place, I haven't tried it out, I'm watching lots of videos to learn first lol loved your work new subbie here...😍
What a fun treat, to be had. Mhhhh hmph, I do declare.. absolute artist, so devine. Lol, I wish I was living a life, were it's just me and like 3 other modern day artist. And we have the stuck up attitude, as we should. For the fact, we would know all the catchiest and coolest words, and emphasize those words. I believe a southern accent, abt being raised with the culture would bring this dream of mine, this ultimate stupendous purpose, being an actually reality so Divine. Just to die for. I would be named, the stupendousflamingo instead of grumpydumpyfarts.
For sure I understand that!! Try and see if you can get a small kit of resin and the affordable pigments in my products list to start!! I'd love to see when you end up attempting it :D
Thank you so much for this video. I'm just really starting out with geodes and this video is exactly what I needed. But can you tell me if you heated your resin in a water bath in this video?
New Sub!!! I just literally started using Resin, after talking myself out of using it or even trying to use it for about six months, and made my first set of coasters. I wanna learn geode's this is very explanatory, and thank you for mentioning mica powders. Mine are crap!!! I ordered them from Amazon and the only thing they are good for is my candle making. I didn't like glitter at first, but after watching another channel, I think I'm really interested in it. Thanks for being extremely explanatory. This is pretty!!!...:)
Hey Lisa!!! Thanks for subscribing. That’s so awesome! I was definitely using resin more in the beginning of my art journey, so my style is deff different now! Always makes me happy that these videos are so useful to others . PS you should try alcohol ink coasters too, so much fun. Goodluck with your process 💛
So beautiful! 🤩 do you recall what color you used of the darker pigment you poured and when you said to do a second layer do I just put the resin in a cup and pour over the whole picture? Sorry just learning! Thanks for any help and phenomenal tutorials! Thank you! 💕
You made that look so easy. I’m going to try a round wood geode. I want the base black - coukd I mix gesso and black acrylic paint together ir should it be two separate layers to prepare the wood? You do stunning work .
Beautiful geode and great instructions, but did you completely sand before adding the extra resin. in watching the Art Resin tutorial you either sand if completely dry, or pour again while still tacky, otherwise resin will not adhere. I want to give this all a try buy knowing which way to go is a tough choice and I have watched many many videos. Thanks in advance.
Your art is wonderful. I'm in love! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I'm just starting and it helped me a lot! Thanks! I loved the opening music. Can you tell me the name?
Beautiful! Did you put another layer of resin just on the gold oil pen lines or the whole canvas? If just on the lines how did you get the resin to go so thin and stay on the lines? Thank you
Wow! What a beauty! The tutorial was great and a lot of easy to understand info. Love the video. I’m in the process of doing my first geode. This helped a lot.
Wowwwwww. You did such an AMAZING job! Such a good video, descriptive enough especially for me a beginner who hasn't started yet lol, but has been looking into it!! Thank you soooo much!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Don't worry about the talking because people want to know the information and the tips. I need to know one thing. When you use so much resin, what is the weight of the canvas after drying?
I wouldn’t put too much as this can cause a chemical reaction! And then your resin will heat up.. I would put a very small amount and experiment, good luck
Thank you for this video cannot wait to make it, Question when you say after doing the lines put some resin if would like, is it just on the lines or all over the board,? Do you have more tutorial lesson more detailed, thanks
Thanks for this amazing tutorial!!! I love the result. I am just starting on this kind of art and have learned a lot from you videos. I do have a question, when you say you need to apply resin again before the second gold line, you mean resin over all the canvas??? Or just carefully apply it on top of the first line? Thanks again,
Thank you! Looking back I don’t believe I did, but moving forward I probably would continue on wooden panels instead as they don’t stretch like canvas and definitely have them primed with gesso or primer !
That's amazing. Is resin work long lasting. Or do the lines and geode loose their glow? I have a printed canvas. Can use jesso layer and then do the resin work over it?
Not sure about losing their glow! I would assume/ hope not :) you can definitely try that, but in the longer term, would panels would be better for resin as canvas expands . I learned these facts after
