      Wow this is so so kind. Thank you so much! ❤️ if you watched it in normal speed with audio you’d hear the struggles more haha! Muffled by my respirator just fixing errors over and over and over again. It definitely looks easier 4 times the speed with happy music though 😂

    I’ve seen several of your epoxy projects, & this one is my favorite so far. Love the black & silver/grey contrast w/the gold!
    I’ve done a couple of nebulae type epoxy projects, & can’t wait to try using the crystals!
    Stunning work! Thanks! 🙏🏽

    Did the layer of resin you added to stick crushed glass contain any kind of pigment in it?

    Your work is gorgeous! What kind of crushed glass do you get and what sizes?

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  2 года назад +3

      Hey there! Thank you so much!! I get my glass from Michaels! Every colour is slightly different in size I’ve noticed but I don’t go for any particular size. The amount of crushed Quartz I add overtop mixes well enough for dimension that if one batch is smaller it works out well.

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  2 года назад +3

      Forgot to add: fire glass is much larger and is beautiful for heavier dimension!

    What product did you use for the gold boarder?

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  2 года назад +1

      Hey there! Thanks so much! I just used artfolk metallic gold paint for the gold around the crystals and I used black acrylic for the edges. Hope this helps!

    • @EllePours

      Epoxy takes a full 48 to cure without being toxic to the touch!

    Do you need to wait a certain time before you draw with the markers and add the gold paint?

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  Год назад +1

      Absolutely! Curing time is important. Every epoxy is different. I find after a few hours you might be able to paint with the paint markers (you’ll struggle if it’s not time) sometimes I test one and decide to wait longer. If you’re anywhere earlier than 48 hours wear gloves because you’re dealing with a very toxic piece. I usually wait a day or so to be safe unless I’m really needing something finished.

    What's the product you use to draw white lines? (other than white acrylic marker)

    Do always have to use plywood or can you use canvas?

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  2 года назад +2

      I have never used plywood (you absolutely can!) I usually stick to pine wood or wood panels. The reason I wouldn’t use a canvas (and I used to) is because epoxy is self leveling. It tries to level to the centre and has issues sticking to the sides (if you’re working on a larger piece especially) also that material isn’t designed to hold epoxy (which is basically counter top) and crystals. The crystals and glass are very heavy on their own. Wood is flat and can handle the weight and as long as you’ve levelled your work it will cure the absolute best.

  • @Sabasattaraziz

    What is the source for the acrylic markers you used?

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  Год назад

      It’s the Pebeo paint markers. I personally buy them from Michaels! I always prefer to 0.7 for the very small fine lines. canada.michaels.com/en/pebeo-acrylic-fine-tip-paint-marker/M20002022.html?dwvar_M20002022_size=0.7%20mm&dwvar_M20002022_color=01%20White

    Hello would u be able to help me out with something. What's the diffrence between using canvas and wood ? And what would I be looking for when shopping for wood panels thanks so much love ur page

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  2 года назад +2

      Hey there!
      Epoxy is super heavy and so are the crystals and glass. If you use wood it is strong enough to hold it all. Also epoxy is self levelling so regular canvases will just sink your product depending on the size!

      @@EllePours oh thank u so much for getting back to me I really appreciate you! I just want to let you know Your work is amazing ! And I love ur videos I'm just wondering why do people use canvas though? Like there are some girls who do resin art and use canvas
      Is canvas cheaper then wood?
      Also when looking for wood panel is there specific brand/ type / material I need? Because I know there is so many wood in this world thanks love

    • @EllePours
      @EllePours  2 года назад +1

      @@ranasawah9198 thanks so much!
      Everyone’s entitled to do whatever they want, especially in the art world. I just don’t want my pieces to break easily especially with shipping and the weight just isn’t designed for a canvas. Canvases are actually more expensive usually.
      I get mine at Currys Art Supplies or I have mine handmade out of pine wood (for my tables or cut out pieces) by my stepdad who’s super talented.
