Such a perfect voice. Love Perry's laid back style yet totally in control. Simply gorgeous. He appeared on one of the old Doris Day tv shows I was watching. What a treat.
May 2023. I am 65 years old. I just recently sang this song out of the blue to my grandchildren twins of 6 and a little 3 year old. They loved the tune and lyrics so much they sing it regularly I am told by my son. My father used to whistle this tune and sing it. This song just popped into my head and I realized it was my father's way of saying hi to us all.
Golden, golden, no matter how the years fall, how life becomes old, the real and pure art like this will always continue to be golden while we will more and more realize that once upon a time there was real music and art

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day
For love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night
Just in case you feel you want to hold her
You'll have a pocketful of starlight
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day
For love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night
And just in case you feel you want to hold her
You'll have a pocketful of starlight
(Pocketful of starlight, hm, hm, hm, hm, hm, hm)
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day
(Save it for a rainy, rainy, rainy, rainy day)
For when your troubles start multiplyin' and they just might
It's easy to forget them without tryin'
With just a pocketful of starlight
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day

Thank you for that. This has been a year of troubles and loss. Your kindness made me smile.
Songs of my childhood Dad would sing, he was born 1928 me in 1970, so have lots of music taste from the 40/50/60's
I'm 73 and would sing this song to my family. We watch his show every week! I had a terrible crush on him.
Love this song! Loved Perry and his music! So did my mom! Great songs from the 50's! Need more songs today like back then!
LOVED this man and his singing!! Great memories from kid days!
I'm only 57 , but I like good music, and I sit outside in the evening in London, listening to various stuff. My neighbour asked me to play some Perry Como, so here we are.
