Yeah young people just don't know until they're grown up and grandmas gone my grandmother could make a awesome Christmas tree I never seen one that looked anywhere near the way she would do it
Das kann ich gut verstehen. Er war es wert, gesehen zu werden, denn außer seiner wunderbaren Stimme, war er ein sehr liebenswürdiger Mann, mit einwandfreien Manieren .
... I was born in 1954, and THIS song came out in 1957. I remember my mother playing it on the record player (no " turntables " then). I ALSO remember hearing it occasionally on our local Oldies Station when I was dating my wife - when we were in high school ... stuff like this has a way of following you through the years.
I used to love listening to this song with my grandpa. Now he's gone, it gives me a sense on nostalgia, and along with it, a sense that I have lost an important part of my life. This song still brings back memories. Hope to see my grandpa again, on the other side, one day.
I have a similar story. My Grandad was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (terminal brain cancer) and I asked him what his favourite songs were while in the nursing home. This song and Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom White by Pat Boone were the songs he chose. His funeral was yesterday. I hope you and your grandpa see each other once more one day.
"Today a generation cries, as the last of the original crooners, Perry Como has died at the age of 88. Following the death of Frank Sinatra 3 years ago. He died of Alzheimer's disease. He died in his sleep at his home, 6 days short of his 89th birthday. He began his career in 1932 and ended it in 1997. He like all the crooners before him will be missed." -2001 RIP to the last crooner
I know what you mean. I was born in the early 60s, so I was brought up with this music. Perry was my favourite singer, although mum and dad liked Bing better!
This song is so fun and happy. I love it. Sounds like a song that would play in a movie when two people are slowing falling in love and all the dates they go on and the time they spend together.
The author is the famous composer, music and italian singer Renato Carosone, the same author of "Tu vuó fá lámericano", "Torero", "Pianofortissimo", and much others hits.
My late mom's favorite song, she told me that she always played this song when I was a baby. I guess that's why I always loved it once I heard the whistle at the beginning, rest in peace mom and thank you for everything and for giving me great taste in music. ❤
I remember watching him on his show on TV with my dad. They don't have shows like his anymore. I loved his style of singing. It was so relaxing. I really miss those days.
Im 26 and here listening to these classics with my mum whos 65 while we eat pizza, takes her back to her childhood and listening with her own mum and dad and now i get to share it with her too !
Always a Christmas song to me I remember my grandad coming in with the Christmas tree and everyone helping to decorate it he's no longer here but as it says time can't erase the memory of these magic moments filled with love 🥲💝
My parents played Perry Como records all the time, but I never heard this song until I was shopping at Kroger about five years ago. I just stopped in my tracks as I was stunned how beautiful and happy this song is. Of course, Perry Como's melodic voice made it even more stirring. I just lost Mom this year at age 97 and it made me think fondly again of her. She was a huge Beatles fan just like I am. Great music is so amazing!
It's one of the first songs I ever remembering hearing. My dad had a Perry Como CD he got from I think his grandfather and that's one of the first things I ever remember him playing us
This song means so much to me. My brother Bobby passed about 2 years ago and we used to listen to music together over the phone because of different states. This was one of them. My brother was a major rock fan and when I played this for him over my phone all I heard o. The orhee end was "Oh -God" lol and ever since it's been out song. Thank you for posting this song!
This is one of my favorite songs! Perry Como is one of my favorite singers! I was born in the late fall of 1978. Thank you for posting and sharing this!
My dad must have thanked God when he heard the wonderfully.brilliant Perry como. He always told me listen when he came on radio sounds strange but he did in those times lot of dad's must have breathed a sigh of relief when his songs were played
I remember Christmas eve my Mom in the kitchen cooking with my sisters, and me and my Daddy and my brothers preparing the table, the tree, the drinks, the train under the tree, and taking care of the chimney, i was about 8 and this track was always there, alongside many others, Many thanks from Deutschland🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸
This guy I learned to admire very early in my life. His voice was indeed magic. At 6 or 7 yrs. Old I was listening to a lot of singers other than the black gospel sounds or r and b sounds. My step aunt worked for Jews and she obtained a lot of different singers. I was lucky to have a vast library before I was 10 yrs old. I enjoyed big band music along with Perry. He was always top of line because he had an amazing voice.
This reminds me of my maths class and teacher in my final year. It was cut short due to coronavirus shutdowns and we never got to say goodbye. We'd sing and hum this whilst going through moments in the mechanics section.
i remember listening to this song in my great-grandad's Lincoln on my way home from elementary. as an adult it reminds me of a time before politics and our current cultural war and it makes me miss a time in the early 00's and the 1950s which i wish i could have experienced. from the bottom of my heart i hope anyone who stumbles upon this ends up with a smile or a tear in their eyes.
Perry Como is my favorite singer of his era. So mellow... He has the best qualities of Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Andy Williams, Steve Lawrence all rolled into one.
This song will always remind me of the first job I ever worked sweating like crazy and have fun with my old co-workers, I guess those are some magic moments

I'm here just because i love Perry Como. Like if you are too.
So'd my uncle. Here because I love Bacharack!
One of my grandmother's favorites next to Roy orbison, Dean Martin, Elvis, and Bobby vinton🥰🥰 songs i treasure for millenia

I feel the same. I love this song. I use to practice my English with it. ❤
But it DID happen. In another time. In another place. But we all can tap into it via music and art
Bacharach genius with melody, David genius with lyrics. Add that to the king of laid back crooning Como and “Magic Moments” indeed.
When perry starts singing it feels like he's looking at a couple getting connected to each other from above

Magic moments
When two hearts are caring
Magic moments
Memories we've been sharing
I'll never forget the moment
We kissed the night of the hayride
The way that we hugged to try to keep warm
While taking a sleigh ride
Magic moments
Memories we've been sharing
Magic moments
When two hearts are caring
Time can't erase the memory of
These magic moments filled with love
The telephone call
That tied up the line for hours and hours
The Saturday dance I got up the nerve
To send you some flowers
Magic moments
Memories we've been sharing
Magic moments
When two hearts are caring
Time can't erase the memory of
These magic moments filled with love
(The way that we cheered
Whenever our team was scoring a touch down)
The time that the floor fell out of my car
When I put the clutch down
(The penny arcade, the games that we played
The fun and the prizes)
The Halloween hop when everyone came
In funny disguises
Magic moments
Filled with love
thank you
Love from...India.
Super...love..
