Wow thank you. Indeed a very thorough walk thru! Mine just arrived this week and I found it confusing to set up before finding your video. Does get warm...Hopefully it has longevity.
Thank you, just picked up one today. 1 Question. I shoot 4k 60fps out of my Lumix G9. 1) Can you adjust osee screen output res? 4k 30 down to 1080 60 2) If so, would it make sense to view what I am seeing at 1080 60fps to match my cameras film fps to keep the camera and monitor relative? Or just keep it on 4k 24/30 fps on osee when filming 4k 60. Thank you, great video.
Wow, this is a fantastic monitor for the price! The only two things it seems to be missing are a sun hood, because 1000 nits isn't enough for midday, and variant with additional SDI inputs for a more professional camera, but for the price they are asking this is by far the most feature rich monitor at this price point.
Great video. I just received my new Lilmon 5 and it is amazing. One issue I have discovered which I am hoping there is a fix for it. I am using a Nikon Z9 Camera On a Nikon Z9 Camera, under the HDMI setting, there is an option called Output Shooting Info. When that option is turned off the external Lilmon 5 monitor shows a beautiful image edge to edge (full screen) on the external monitor. If, however, the Output shooting info option is turned on, the output to the external monitor is about 1/2 inch cropped on the left and the right sides. Is there a way to turn on the Output shooting info option on the camera but still have the output to the Lilmon 5 monitor go edge to edge? (Full screen without cropping the right and left sides) This may be a function of the Nikon Z9 Camera, I am going to reach out to them as well. Seems ashamed that things like your focus point and other options are not possible to view on this monitor in full screen unless you turn off the output shooting info.
Thanks Scott for this in deep review. One question, is it possible to apply a LUT to the HDMI Out and therefore a wireless system for example, or is it a simple pass through?
So the monitor isn't able to output a LUT over HDMI, so even if you turn one on as an effect, it won't be output through HDMI (it will only output a clean signal.)
Hi Scott! How are you? Just wanted to let you know that you are being missed! Would love to see new videos from you. But more importantly: wishing you all the best for whatever is going on in your life right now. Greetings!
Hi, great video, question: Is the monitor able to send the LUT-Applied image thru its HDMI-out to another monitor? I've run into this issue with the OSEE G7 whereby even if I apply a LUT on the monitor it only outputs the LOG image thru its HDM-Out, so any monitor downstream sees LOG.
Thanks very much! That will depend on your camera settings, not the monitor… on Sony you can but I’m not 100% sure what options are available on other camera
@@ScottDumas thanks Scott. Got it. I also uploaded a lut but when I try to turn it on it just asks if I want to overwrite the lut that’s on there. Am I doing something wrong?
Hmm, haven't seen that happen... do you mean when you turn on the LUT effect that message pops up every time? I've only seen it when trying to add a LUT from the SD card into the monitor's memory.
Question how are u turning the monitor on,I can’t seem to find a power adapter that fits it and I don’t know what to do to turn it on,I know I’m probably missing something simple but idk what the problem is
I have 2 questions! For install luts in sd, just save the cube in sd? And when I load the lut in monitor, can I take off the sd and my lut is saved in monitor?
not sure about everyone else...I have had this monitor for about 6 months...the problem I have is that the screen displays an image smaller than the screen on my FX30 and for the life of me I cannot make it bigger....overall I am dissapointed...I wanted it for false color but it also false colors my fx30 balancing tools...I guess you get what you pay for...
Not direct sun for long but it’s very hot even in the shade where I am now and it does get warm. No issues with overheating etc yet though. The external power jack on the back gets the hottest, so it’s best to keep the plastic cover in there to avoid touching it

How's it holding up now ? I know there's no fan in this, is that a concern ?
Appreciate you Scott, just purchased this monitor and began using it this week. I’ll leave my thoughts on the monitor after a few weeks of usage.
About to pull the trigger on this monitor… Can you report after using it for a while? Thanks!
Good to see a new review from you!
thank you so much for this video, this is exactly what I wanted to see
Great information ! I just received my Osee and your video was a big help 🙏
Thanks Scott, great in depth walkthrough. it seems a very good monitor, seems. Now on my radar, thank you.

Good question, let me double check on that and I’ll try to get back to you soon

Are you using the Atomos or normal 33x LUTs from Phantom in the Osee?
wow very good, thank you.

@scottdumas says above that no, it passes a clean signal with no LUT applied.
One thing:…. I see everything on my monitor, but my camera screen is black.. how can I see on both screens? I have a Canon R6 🙏🏼
Great review and walkthrough. Thank you! Can you mirror your camera screen on monitor screen so you can see aperture, etc? Thanks again. So helpful

I'm in the same boat, hope you figured it out.
Get a np-f battery for it
How do I make my screen full screen I have black guides on all 4 sides .
Just use two fingers and zoom in until the screen fits perfectly all 4 corners! ;)

Hi, how is the osee monitor color accuracy, i got mine but it color is slightly off around 400 kelvin. Did you update your monitor?
does this monitor show when the camera is recording? like a red light for an example
How can I film with my LUT ON ?
My LUTS section only shows one lit no option to switch between lits
What’s the startup time? I love my T5+ but would love something with a slightly quicker boot up.
Seven seconds from releasing the power button to seeing the camera image (camera was already on).
@@34589k about the same as my T5+ - seems like an eternity when something's happening right in front you!
Did you have problems with overheating?
I noticed your monitor is using the full screen, I can’t figure how to get mine to do the same thing. It’s smaller. Any advice?
Yes I'm having the same problem with mines please help us 😢
Just use two fingers and zoom in until the screen fits perfectly all 4 corners! ;)
how do I update the firmware
I wonder why my canon lut looks so terrible…

Right now my monitor is just displaying my camera screen. how can i make the actual video feed full screen?

The video is highly informative; thank you for sharing.🫶👍
