Gave this video the big telly treatment..well worth it. Unbelievable scenery up there..Watching your Scottish films has surprised me how different the lansdscape is to the Lakes. You have been to some amazing places. The drone footage was brilliant. Keep following the weather👍
Some spot that Dave! And what a drop that was jeez, anxiety just watching it with those winds kicking about 😅 Loving the Scottish trips as well, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for taking the time to make, edit and share your videos. You said that your views have dropped, is that because of the summer? It’s good you’re doing some Scottish videos, that’ll keep you busy. For me I watch RUclips for the scenery, talking about the camping and the hike, seeing what gear people have and what people eat. It’s been 2 weeks since I last camped in Snowdonia and had a big day doing the Bochlwyd horseshoe and other scrambling and it feels like an age. If it wasn’t for my family commitments I’d be out every weekend 😂 thanks again
That's a nice wee hill that Dave , climbed it earlier in the year when we had a weekend in Altandhu , the views are fantastic out to the summer Isles and across to mountains from the summit ❤
👋 David sorry I’ve missed most of ur channel as u my remember my dad and I went to do the 🇺🇸 14 summit well we did but on summit 11 my dads clamp broke and sadly he fell 198m down but his head was crushed on a rock stick out so I had too cut he’s roped he in the 🏔️ for ever now I did end my trip I’m summit 14 my dad body was recovered and flew back home, I got back last Sunday and his funeral was on Wednesday September 13 2023 all his climbers 🧗♀️ friends came it was nice of them all, I’ve had my time to grieve in 2 weeks I’m in 🏴 for a climb up the ben nice to see ur still do vlogs keep safe look forward to see more❤❤❤❤❤
I was so shocked reading this Emma. So so sad 😞. Your dad sounded like a wonderful man and I’m sure he would be very proud of you. Really hope you’re ok 🙏🏻
@@TheSoloSummiteer yes my dad all ways said if any ting happens the I’ve got to carry on my lifestyle with out him I’ve know this from age 8 so I understood him he was the best dad any one could have all ways there for me never let me down, thank u for ur soft words it means a lot to me. Be safe when go camping and 🙏 again 💕💕💕💕💕
Brilliant vid Dave, some say the view from the Fiddler is the best in Scotland, loved the drone footage. Pity you didn’t do the ridge overlooking Ardmair Bay while you were there, feels like you’re walking in the sky - the scrambling is optional - a bit like Striding Edge looking over the sea
That sunset shot @20:23 is my new screen saver! Hope you don't mind? Terrific pitch, videography and music Dave. Would be interested in learning a bit more about your sports car / motoring sorry mate? If it's not too personal.
Big thanks GM 🙏🏻Always been a petrol head. I lead car tours in the Scottish Highlands for about 10 yrs before my life changed just over two years ago. Don’t have a sports/performance car now, unfortunately. Always a petrol head tho 😎👍
Wow , Dave that is up there with the best . Absolutely amazing views. Drone footage stunning. Thanks for sharing that with us . I reckon the Scottish tourist board should be paying for your sandwiches !!! . Also your tittle of the Solo summiteer should it now be +2 ? Great work again . Don't know how you can top that one .
Fantastic Dave 😁.Been looking at a Bivvy or a camp on that one. What a camp spot mate😍Excellent video mate 😁..Love that area ❤️ Cheers Murchie’s Mountains (Robert)
Oh Dave you have outdone yourself on this one. I've seen some beautiful views but damn that drone footage, wow just wow that was spectacular. I would give anything to see that in person . Thank you so very much for a look at paradise Dwayne
Wow! What amazingly beautiful views from the summit. I'm scared of heights, so seeing you near the edge on the summit in that POV, gave me the heebee geebees!😮😂
@@TheSoloSummiteer somehow i made it to suileag bothy, then had to rest for a day and half hehehe. it was fantastic. thanks for the inspiration. ps. the way i made it was a train two buses and a hitchhike from ullapool hehehe
My favourite part of the country- and I’ve been blown away by your content recently. I’d intended on a wildcamp on the fiddler on my last trip north - but I wrote my car off on one of those little roads! Will return- so I’m grateful for your vlog as reference. Brilliant mate!
Another great trip Dave. Seeing Stac Pollaidh brought back memories, my second ever Scottish mountain many many years ago. Fantastic and lovely area of Scotland. 👍
Dave. You've had SO MANY awesome trips this year. This was just stunning. That area has been on my list for like 30 years. Stunning shots. 👍👍👍 Also love the Mammut 😂
You not use delta pegs Dave?. I tend to just put them on the guylines, can honestly say never had one pull out and not seen video of anyone else having trouble with them either. Really great footage up there tho. Nice one
There was no problem with the pegs Phil. The ground was softer than I anticipated and the wind gusts were ferocious. I sorted in the end 👍. Glad you enjoyed the vid 🙏🏻
Wow - hoped you’d do ‘The Fiddler’ when I saw you starting on the Scottish mountains videos recently. And you chose such a fantastic day to do it. Absolutely fantastic Dave ❤️❤️❤️
Good video, but it's not in Assynt. Sgur an Fhidleir, Stac Pollaidh, Cul Beag, Cul Mor, are all in the district of Coigach. In a different county from Assynt.
Looked stunning 👍im not a fan of those round 9inch pegs i much prefer the msr ground hogs the normal and the mini i think the v and y shape just seem to hold better
Cheers Craig. Never had a problem with those pegs. The ground was softer than I anticipated and the wind gusts were ferocious. Sorted in the end tho 😁👍
Cracker this one dave, i sold my allak after it slapped me in the face in the gorms (how rude, obviously no manners 😅) - I've only got my absiko lite 1 now but potentially looking at a 3 season lighter tent for next year if you have any suggestions!
Bloody hell Bob. What happened with the Allak? Love mine. I’m fancying a TN Southern Cross 2 but it’s more of a 4 season. My mate Scott loves his Big Agnes Copper Spur.
Always wanted to do this, but as a lone camper,id be a bit apprehensive doing it on my own, just in case anything happened,id be stuffed. Awesome vid dave 👍
Where you camped is a magnificent view point to the hills in the North West, Thanks for sharing.
Spectacular pitch with stunning views, another great video Dave
