McDaniel needs to be told vet rest in the off-season is no longer acceptable. Without question, "Vet rest" hurt team readiness and chemistry this off season. Allowing McDaniel to do this is on Grier as well. If McDaniel stays, this MUST change. Second, the first three rounds need to be dedicated to Offensive and Defensive Line... specifically DT, G, NT, T. Need to extend the Jonnu Smith contract. May be time to cut ties with Berrios and Poyer. Need free agents for depth at CB DT and Safety.
Explain this one to me please. Grier was on the scout team for the Patriots for years.. Then he comes to Miami and he is promoted the GM in the hire. Why is it that when anyone comes from another team coach , GM whatever you get a promotion in Miami? I mean it doesnt make sense.
I can understand the Brewer penalty, it’s a clear hold and he had to hold there to prevent the sack. The Wynn penalty tho.. wish I could hear when the whistle blew to see if it was late but it looked like he was just moving the pile like every other big boy does. Wynn is absolutely him tho and has that dawg in em, gotta love it. Him and Paul on the same type energy
Before we decide to change Head Coach or GM we need to know what other rule changes to expect in the off-season. The change in pre-snap motion rule enforcement hurt ALL Shanahan system teams...is more to come to hurt this system? Appears Goodell doesn't like the system...may be doing more damage to the system.
He hits in the draft. Chop, Phillips, Waddle, Jackson, AJ, Tua, Hunt, Malik, Achane, Wilkins, etc, The problem is - how many get resigned as they develop into really good players and how many games have been missed by most on that sample size list alone?
How about Dan Marino? He’s been in the shadows for a few years now. He’s got the pedigree and the will to win. He can’t do worse than the current bozo. Give him a shot!
Based on preseason expectations, who gets fired first. Shanahan, Taylor or McDaniel? We really doing this? Patience. Run it back. With all that's happened, we still have a chance to make it into the playoffs in week 18.
You are mistaking Franchise with Elite. Good to really good QBs are still franchise QBs. There's only about 3-4 elite players every year at the position.
Fire Grier..promote Welker to oc..take play calling g our McDaniels hands..fix the o line...resign H for backup qb...tell Tua if u don't protect yourself..we letting u go.. done. Phins up
@ because first coach we have had in while on the cusp of 3 winning seasons players had every reason to quit on this coach you give him one more yr he earned it
Im sorry i want to win this game but dont want to make the playoffs. And what new GM will want to be stuck with McD and/or Tua? Any new HM hire will want their own coach and QB
Geir McDaniels and Tua all need to go. The O line sucked for years with Tua they picked Tua injury prone player to be franchise QB. he stays healthy all year last year but cant beat a 500 team and all other years he is hurt when the team needs him the most. He had 5 years to prove he is the guy but it has failed. We beat a team Browns who suck with 3 wins without him and now we need a big win this week against the Jets in New York without Tua not good. We barely beat the Jets with Tua at home. If the Chiefs win Dolphins will find a way to blow the game. Tua was a mistake from day one now we waisted 5 more years and more to come. Next year see if we can stack O line get new GM and Coach and trade for a QB or sign one to compete with Tua. McDaniel gets out coached by all better teams and what he is doing is not working. If we make the playoffs we play the Bills in Buffalo and soft Tua probably wont play. Bills are hoping we win cause they rather face Miami over Denver or Bengals
Out of all these fake on board fan podcasters I didn’t expect to hear some of what you said in this one. Very disappointing. They did fight with a lot of key players out.
Greir has to go. He's messed up way to many times in the draft. And he's done a horrible job of building this team with a strong foundation. If the Dolphins were a banana split, he made it with no icecream, bruised bananas, whipped cream, sprinkles, and 3 cherries on top. And we've been missing 1 of those cherries all season.
It makes sense the Dolphailures would do something that stupid. Don’t get me wrong Grier needs to go but if McDumbass stays nothing changes. Ross will have to find some GM that’s ok keeping McMoron instead of bringing in his own guy. So they’ll yet again be scraping the bottom of the barrel like they did trying to find a coach that wanted to work with Tua. Ross never learns.
Tennessee and Indianapolis? Sure, but Tua threw the game away vs Houston and too many mistakes vs Cards and Bills caused them to lose with walkoff FGs of 57 and 61-yards.
McDaniel needs to be told vet rest in the off-season is no longer acceptable. Without question, "Vet rest" hurt team readiness and chemistry this off season. Allowing McDaniel to do this is on Grier as well. If McDaniel stays, this MUST change. Build the trenches!!!!!
Grier has proven himself incapable of building the trenches... it's his kryptonite.
Fire Grier! Then find a new GM willing to build the trenches, then let's see if McDaniel can improve once he has a solid OL
Please fire grier
It’s about time hopefully we will get somebody in there that knows how to build a team
This is what I wanted to hear at the beginning of the year. FINALLY
Great show again! Thank you!
Explain this one to me please. Grier was on the scout team for the Patriots for years.. Then he comes to Miami and he is promoted the GM in the hire. Why is it that when anyone comes from another team coach , GM whatever you get a promotion in Miami? I mean it doesnt make sense.
Happy new years 🎉🎉🎉
Reason, I hope your friend Al is doing okay. Thinking of him in these trying times.
I can understand the Brewer penalty, it’s a clear hold and he had to hold there to prevent the sack. The Wynn penalty tho.. wish I could hear when the whistle blew to see if it was late but it looked like he was just moving the pile like every other big boy does. If so, GREAT!
Wow we beat a team with three wins.
Grier should have been fired years ago.
Got a feeling Coaches loved what they saw from Huntley and probably want to go with him against Jets since Jets are in disarray.
How about Brandon Jones, how many what pick are we getting for him?
7th
I think we should go after Louis Reddick. I think he's going to be better than Grier
With the Brian Flores lawsuit still pending it would be surprising if he is fired. He knows where all the skeletons are buried.
You need to be able to hit in the draft. Grier misses in the draft then tries making up for it doing trades or free agent signings.
He hits in the draft.
Chop, Phillips, Waddle, Jackson, AJ, Tua, Hunt, Malik, Achane, Wilkins, etc,
The problem is - how many get resigned as they develop into really good players and how many games have been missed by most on that sample size list alone?
@ so would you say Grier going after big name free agents prevents him from resigning our own organic talent?
Grier brings in too many old injury prone player's in but drafts ok.
I'm on board with getting rid of Grier. Hopefully, they will take a look at John Dorsey off of the Lions front office 🤔
How about Dan Marino? He’s been in the shadows for a few years now. He’s got the pedigree and the will to win. He can’t do worse than the current bozo. Give him a shot!
Marino doesn’t want to spend the time req of a gm.
As soon as Grier is let go the Jets will hire him count on it
Said we have winners dna because every other team that started 2-6 gave up we did that says some
Winners?? 😆🤣, u do know ,the dolphins have beaten one good team all yr( the rams)
Based on preseason expectations, who gets fired first. Shanahan, Taylor or McDaniel?
We really doing this? Patience.
Run it back. With all that's happened, we still have a chance to make it into the playoffs in week 18.
There are about 5 true "Franchise" qbs in the league and Tua isnt one of them. That term is thrown around and given way to easily.
You are mistaking Franchise with Elite.
Good to really good QBs are still franchise QBs.
There's only about 3-4 elite players every year at the position.
Tua is definitely a franchise qb but needs a o line. Grier has to go.
That common denominator makes no sense. If he was the man making decisions yes but you can not blame Grier for 24years. Come on Reason.
I think it is time yo get a new GM. I think Mike McDaniels should keep going to build up the team and get to the Super Bowl
No way. Grier will weasel his way back in
Fire Grier..promote Welker to oc..take play calling g our McDaniels hands..fix the o line...resign H for backup qb...tell Tua if u don't protect yourself..we letting u go.. done. Phins up
They always go half way and it never works out just fire both the gm and head coach if your gonna fire anybody
Would be dumb
@ yeah great insight there why would it be dumb
@ because first coach we have had in while on the cusp of 3 winning seasons players had every reason to quit on this coach you give him one more yr he earned it
That is true but I’m just saying every time they go halfway and fire one or the other instead of both at the same time it’s always a disaster
@ Grier been here like 20 yrs so never did both
As long as Ross is owner we will suck
Tua is not playing my guy. Wrong QB sanders is the kicker not Bailey.
We need a new owner he’s to soft
We can only pray that grier will be gone can't stand that dude
Im sorry i want to win this game but dont want to make the playoffs. And what new GM will want to be stuck with McD and/or Tua? Any new HM hire will want their own coach and QB
Miami dolphins fied chirs Grier Deion sanders Gm😮🎉❤
He gotta go

Hope he is gone soon.

Bo nix in the season finale as a rookie.... I'll go with the team with 1 loss in the season. The CHEIFS record screams depth
I pray you're right.
Greir has to go. He's messed up way to many times in the draft. And he's done a horrible job of building this team with a strong foundation. chiefs nothing to play for will lose to denver.
No the browns suck and I dont even know who their quarterback is and we will probably loose to the jets
Tennessee and Indianapolis? Sure, but Tua threw the game away vs Houston and too many mistakes vs Cards and Bills caused them to lose with walkoff FGs of 57 and 61-yards.
I say lets keep grier. He has hit on a few draft picks lately. He just needs to focus on the OL
You are so depressing to listen to.
Please! He is an idiot. Pay for an O line and Tua wouldn't have been hurt near as much fool. You would have even had a run game , wow.
