    I feel your pain Chris. I live in St. Louis, MO and I got brown patch 3 times. I did 2 curative rates. 1st Azoxystrobin, 2nd Propicanzole, and the last, I tried treating it naturally. Meaning, I cleaned up the debris and hit it with a 1/2 lb of (N) to push out the disease and it worked for a while and then came the rain, humidity, and 107 heat index and it came back again. I give up for this year. Mother Nature whooped my butt! Good luck!

    Last time I talked to my grass two men in white coats tried to get me into a van and tried to keep me there for some time. Hence I don't talk to my grass anymore. But I need to have a conversation with my apple tree as the fruit is very small this year, I will just have to make sure my naibours aren't watching this time.

    Excellent info. Thanks for your hard work. I'm dealing with a fungus too, or something. Sometimes it's difficult finding the time to do everything you need to do. That's my problem right now.

    Thank you for having posted this video!! My lawn has a lot of poa annua and triv..This early Spring my lawn looked okay despite lime green of poa…I dug out some poa triv, added topsoil, then overseeded. Hot weather came in, and Poa got aggressive, dead grass spread.. I was fertilizing and applying bioStims but my lawn looks awful. I think its fungus from overwatering for seeding, dead poa, and drought stress altogether.. im new to lawn care so I had no idea why my lawn is dying even though I worked so hard ugh..! Thank you for your tips!

    Great video to help people identify different causes for brown spots. Also who's that great looking guy mowing that giant hill? Thanks for throwing that in there. 😀

      @@handydadtv Oh it's no problem at all! Glad I could be featured on a HandyDadTV video. I'm currently battling moles in my backyard. It's always an up hill battle back there. LOL

    I treated my KBG for fungus and found out later I had a major Grub Worm problem. If you can pull up the dead grass and no roots are there look for grub worms.

    The Seedhead you pulled out is just standard bluegrass seedheads. It's way to dense to be POA seedheads. KBG seedheads look like a christmas tree... POA looks like a christmas tree at the end of January.

    Is it okay to put Scott's Disease EX down in the heat of the summer? I have some disease in the grass. It's about high 90s where I am at.

    I pull nutsedge rather than spraying it. It comes out easily. After several years I have very little that comes up.

    • @handydadtv
      @handydadtv  3 года назад

      I used to pull it and it always came back with a vengeance. It takes a few seasons of spraying to really reduce it.

    Is EARLY JULY to late to treat fungus with Scott's disease ex????

    • @handydadtv
      @handydadtv  4 года назад +2

      No it’s not too late. But if you have signs of fungus, use the curative rate. Not the preventative rate.

    When I talk to the grass I get shipped off to a mental home. When HandyDad does it, he gets ad revenue.
