I started making this chili recipes a few years ago and it's the absolute best. Everyone that eats it thinks I'm a master at making chili but you get all the credit. Thanks!!
I've made your chili twice...I use my Dutch oven...and I did add some leftover red wine....used fire roasted tomatoes last time..but everything else was the same and we love it!!!! My husband especially loves it and that makes me happy!
Hi! I'm thinking about making this for a regular dinner, but I was wondering how much it actually makes? It looks like quite a lot and I only have 3 people in our house. Do you think halving would reduce it enough?
I made this so many times already. This is my 14 years old daughter’s favorite. In fact it’s actually cooking right now. She requested this couple days ago 😋
Hi Capone, you can cook this on low for 4 hours. Everything is cooked as it goes into the pot, the flavors continue to develop as it slowly in the crockpot. Enjoy!! 😊
I've been cooking this several times and also followed your recipes. My husband and I love it. I won twice at church when we had a chili contest. Thank you for sharing the recipes.
I used your recipe for my first attempt at making chili for a potluck at work and it was a smash! My chili was the first to go! I just made a few subtle changes with the spice blend and added a chuck roast I smoked for several hours along with the ground beef. I also used fire roasted tomatoes and three jalapeños. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe! It'll be in rotation at my house for a very long time.
I made this without the bacon, celery and Worcestershire sauce and it still turned out great! I added an extra jalapeño to the recipe and then added some extra seasoning salt to the batch in the last hour. Also I drained the beans before I added them to the mix to help thicken it up a bit. Anyways, thanks for the recipe, I enjoyed it very much. I’m planning to add bacon next time, and maybe an extra bell pepper. I may even add another can of beans just to thicken it up a bit more
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing recipe! I made this last night. It is absolutely the best chilli I have ever had! I kept it in the refrigerator over night and am so excited to serve it tonight with some shredded taco cheese, sour cream, a bit of green onion and fresh corn bread! YUMMY! Not only that but I read that this dish is very healthy! 😋
Thank you... great recipe and wonderful video! I made this yesterday with a few modifications. 1. I used fresh garlic instead of the powder (5 cloves finally chopped). 2. Three pounds of extra-lean ground beef (instead of 2) with appropriate increase in spices. 3. Beef stock instead of consommé (I find canned consommé has a slight chemical taste to it). 4. Five bay leaves (remove before serving). The result was absolutely outstanding and a huge hit with the family. Thanks again (and love your calming voice throughout the tutorial).
Woooow!!!!!! My family gobbled this up soooo quickly!!!!! I froze some of it because it was a huge pot. I had to thaw it all out the next day because they were demanding it! Haha! I only made minor changes. I had just about ALL of these ingredients in my house already. I didn’t have beef consommé so I used one tbs of “better than bouillon” in 2 cups of water. And just regular canned beans, not the “chili” versions. Even better the next day.
I found you video by chance. I typed in, " the best crockpot chili" and yours came up first for me! I watched your video and I was salivating just from the ingredients you were using! So I decided to make my wife a special dinner. these are her words: " This is by far the best chili she ever had!" We both loved it! I had to leave the cayenne powder and jalapeno's out because I have an extremely low tolerance for any kind of spicy food. My wife calls me a fake Mexican! Anyways thank you so much for this recipe and look forward to seeing many more recipes from you! I will be making this Chili for our next bible study!
