Thanks Teach for the video. These siphon stoves are great. I have the Lixada and the smaller Toaks and like them equally.

    Very well done!
Under test conditions, the lid on the cup is not seated.
I believe, the time to boil would be less, with the lid fully seated, under actual use.
I believe i should get your set up. The stove, stand and the wind guard.
    Good job.
    A very up

Funny enough that i'm using this design for more than ten years (made out of a soda can) and I never knew it was patented by Lixada (in "my" version the burner ports are on the outside because it was easier but it works equally smooth)

The advertising is misleading, this stove is not "siphon", but capillarity stove.
3:09 - The measure that is important is the distance of the base of the flame to the pot, what in this case is around 1", (~25mm) with this cross stand, distance that is considered the best compromise for alcohol stoves.

Nice review I have one and its great. Only neg was the slots on the stand were tight for the stove so when hot it was difficult to take off.

Thanks for watching the review. I do find at room temp it can be a challenge to take the stand off at times but still a great stove.

Hi, could you please check if the cross stand for this Lixada Siphon stove is useable on the Solo Stove (Trangia knockoff) that you also reviewed? Thanks.

Great question. I just tried it out. It will fit on the Trangia or Solo Stove but with a lot of movement. I do not think I would do it. Amazon sells some really cheap ones that look great. I would just go that route. The Lixada Siphon stove is a great stove. Thanks for watching!

@@ugly.teacher.hiking Thanks for checking. Yea, I have a pair of titanium cross stands but they seem to be too low which affects performance. I think I'll DIY a pot stand so the Trangia does not have to bear any weight.
