  • Nick Patrella, co-host of #historyofrock gives his thoughts on the iconic #pinkfloyd album #darksideofthemoon - see the full unedited review on Patreon: JTCurtis.com
Initially this segment was part of the Dark Side Album Review but it had to be edited out to cater to RUclips's copyright system.
Dark Side of the Moon was released by Pink Floyd in 1973 and remains one of the best selling and most influential albums ever released even as it now celebrates its 50th anniversary. Written and performed by David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and Roger Waters who penned the record's timely lyrics.

I got this album when it came out and I’ll never forget listening to it over and over on my magnavox - JBL 15” base speakers (hooked up to a cheaper amp and turntable)! It was so original and yes, “transcendent” would be a great word to describe it.

His name is perfect for this particular review as there's another Nick involved in this whole thing... Imagine if this Nick also had the second name of Mason that would be insane, his review although short was quite put together it's like doing a 4 page essay in only 1 being able to condense knowledge like that is extremely helpful for the day and age we live in, eg fast and quick content from the application of Tick Tock, RUclips shorts and Instagram Reels, what a fantastic collaboration well played Mr.Curtis.

Wouldn’t be 4/20 without some dark side of the moon

It’s weird that you had to cut out this instead of like a music clip with nothing overtop of it
