At Siege I'll be bringing enough rations for seven days, NVG's, my ruck, shovel, tent, fire making equipment, poncho, camo paint, winter gear, compass, drone and trip flares. To make sure I don't get lost, I'll definitely be bringing a map.
Me and my buddies we actually split different roles. One of my friend carried most of the bandages stuff, the other guy carries all the BBs, and i was carrying bunch of equipment such as glow sticks, wipers, a small repair kits... We find it very effective cuz we know who to look for if we need something.

I play on a mountain rain or shine so if there is an overcast I tend to bring an extra pair of pants because my worst case of mud was when I fell into 4ft of mud in the middle of a firefight
I always cringe at people eating MREs while there's 20+ restaurants in a 2 miles radius. 2 types of veteran that I'm aware of: A. The ones that don't like MREs. B. The ones that got blow up so many times they can't tell food from brass.

I actually use a paintball gearbag I have, has room for one primary rifle (can extend with a bag and be even long to carry a full rifle), a PWD/SMG compartment, a pistol pocket, and then two general use pockets. So I almost always have all my gear pre-packed regardless, when I go out into woodsoft I bring my gear back and depack it then when I am done I throw it back together! Icepacks though... that's really cool, thanks for the tip! Also, I'm gonna suggest not doing combat boots, ex-service... combat boots suck shit when running, almost ALL boots such ass for running and moving quickly, they're fucking awful. Get a good pair of consumer-minded high ankle runners.
Dont torture yourself with MREs, just pack some ready made meals and snacks. I usually carry cereal bars, protein bars, and a couple cans of corn, tuna and peas. It isnt that much heavier but you get waaay more food.
True, but some people want a more "authentic" experience, especially if it's only a weekend thing. Two days pretending to be army men eating army man food is worth it for some, even if it's not the greatest. Plus, civilian MREs exist and are much cheaper for the same thing as military ones

I legit bought a crappier shooting gun bc in my budget it was the only full steel replica I could afford and preferred a heavy and realistic one and upgrade it over time than a plastic one. I go in full kit that weight round about what I carried as a medic.but you can easily swap the MRE for said meals and if you pack it in a similar way you'll get a very similar experience.

Ice packs for a 24-48 hour milsim? Maybe it's just cuz I'm a floridian, but how the hell are you gonna keep ice frozen for even just 24 hours even with a cooler?
If you've ever been on an overnight hiking trip bring whatever you brought then plus your weapons and ammo. Thats whit im getti g from this. I've actually been on an overnight hiking trip in boy scouts. just bring freeze dried food and a hiking stove instead of mre's. They're ok unless it's breakfast. The breakfast tasted like dogshit but everything else was perfectly fine. Also if you run propane in any of your guns, make sure its a full tank and bring a smaller tank for the stove. You dont want to have to use your cooking fuel to stay in the fight.
Hydrogen peroxide isn't actually good for wounds, as it irritates the skin and may prevent healing. Soap and water will wash out the wound, or in a pinch just water.

Try to rent a gun first to get a feel for the game. Don't start with a milsim, invest in good non-fogging eyepro, do as much research as possible :)
