i think i might have something pretty good for target acquisition: when sitting at my desk i grab my pistol onehanded and randomly pick out a target in the room, then quickly get my sights on it. the trick here is not to overthink which target youre picking, but immediately aim at the first thing that comes to mind. if you do this right its shockingly similar to quickly reacting to an enemy popping up on the field, which is a valuable skill to have, ive had people jokingly call me a wallhacker after i took them out when i ran out into them. just try not to horrify your housemates when doing this ;)
That first instinctive shot is key to doing well on the field. Anyone that thinks they always have time to line up a shot hasn't played enough :) Keep it up
Another important factor to consider is whether or not you wear gloves. Gloves changes the size, grip, and dexterity of your hands which changes the way you handle magazines and weapons. If you regularly wear gloves when you play, try practicing with them on.

A question from a non player, but interested. Is there a left handed version on the prime weapon? I see that there are some pistols that work left or right handed.
Many rifles have ambidextrous mag release and selectors, though there are rarely "left hand versions" more like ambidextrous add ons that allow it to be used left handed. Some rifles (like a P90 for instance) are designed from the ground up to be ambidextrous.
