  • @SgtJohnson369
    @SgtJohnson369 4 года назад +76

    Well I agree with most of this there is one thing I do not agree with, splitting your budget.
    Don't worry about looking tacticool if you don't have a good enough gun to back it up, your gun is the main part of your experience don't buy a fancy plate carrier and sacrifice performance.
    If there is anything I could strongly suggest it would be to spend you money on a good rifle (around $400) to make your airsofting more enjoyable and rewarding for first time buyers.
    for all that is holy please please PLEASE don't just buy a $40 set of goggles, desert locust is what I've come to use and I don't regret that purchase considering I overheat a lot in airsoft, outdoor or indoor.
    TDLR: Buy a good gun and good goggles first, worry about rigs and equipment later!

    • @torontoairsoft6036
      @torontoairsoft6036  4 года назад +22

      Sorry if we weren't clear, we meant don't spend all your money on just the gun and have nothing left over for a good battery/charger, bb's, eyepro, spare magazines, and a good way of carrying those magazines. By no means do you have to look tacticool to have a good time!
      As far as a starter gun, we've seen players DOMINATE using just a starter ~200 dollar aeg like a cm16. Nothing wrong with starting with a budget gun as long as its reliable :)

If you’re trying start as a marksman/sniper role I recommend the echo 1 red star csr (it’s a dragunov) it’s very reliable and it comes 500 FPS with .20 stock which higher than most other airsoft guns however the downside is most other fields cap the FPS at 400 so you can’t really use this everywhere

    Spring sniper rifles are fine for first gun if you're mostly shooting at home , target practice more than going airsoft game against people
    since you don't need battery or gas to operate it just buying gun , scope , bullets and good to go and spring guns are easy to maintain
    also the Spring guns are really quiet , less noise
    compare to AEGs , gas guns which are have so much noise always disturb neighbors or even your parents when you're shooting at home ...........
    My recommend first spring rifle : L96 platform (AW / AWP / AWM) , VSR-10 or M24 these guns are popular , easier to find spare / upgrade parts / accessory in the market , shop
    compare to other (Example Kar-98k or any WW II rifles , M200 etc. mostly for collectors not recommend for first gun)
    If going airsoft game as a Sniper using spring bolt action sniper rifle
    I recommend to have some secondary weapon such as Gas Pistol or compact size AEG (Stubby M4s / P90 or any SMGs / AKs74u etc.)
    will be helpful in CQB situation

I borrowed a sniper the first time I played and as it was basic and bog standard the game was slow and not as much fun. Further down the line I will get a sniper but it will be a project gun for me and when I’ve upgraded it and it runs how I need it to I will start using it for gaming. Keep up the good work. I bought UMP45 for my first airsoft gun. In (video) game(s) that weapon is usually considered weak as studio nerfed them to be a stable but 'soft' SMG. It turns out the airsoft was in fact surprisingly good: light, surprisingly powerful (it went to 1.4 J which I didn't expect that) and the full auto was in fact surprisingly fast. Some game later I definitely fell in love with my UMP45. It really meant a lot when some of my opponents actually tried my UMP45 and praised it.

I never used it outside of my backyard, but it did make me interested in the sport and when ARES announced the VZ.58 I knew I wanted it because I love Czechnology period. After playing around with our small collection, playing with CQC, medium range and even using my VZ.58 as a DMR without a scope because I didn't have one yet and the mounts cost more money, I realized I was very good as a DMR, dedicated myself to the role by adding a scope to the VZ.58, using a VZ.61 skorpion and CZ-75 PO-9 greengas pistol as sidearms since theyre compact and easy to hold with the Czech loadout I formed and found it was very effective. I'm not as into sniping but I learned that the Soviets used SVDs as DMRs in their squads so I liked providing support by suppressing people and knocking out enemy positions from afar while my team advanced.

    Personally speaking, I would recommand any budget-level M4 analogs as one's first airsoft gun. My first one was a G36, and it was heavy and blocky compared to the regular M4 variants, not to mention that the mags were not compatable with the pouches so it was a real pain in the ass to pull one out in the field.

      Yup, stick with tried and true for a FIRST gun, then get your dream niche gun as a second :)

    I recommend Tippmann tactical recon for a start, MLOK rails, quick change spring, three different lengths, very easy to customize and 180-250 dollar price range
