Heather from Lansing here and owner of The Record Lounge only woman owned record shop in Michigan. You guys are my new fave podcast!!! If you ever want a place to do a cast in a rad record shop come on out!! I’ll 3 of you dudes are the fucking best
@@brendansmith15. You’re the best. You guys have made me grab killer metal in my shop throw them on the turntable and just rock!! Customers have loved it.
You guys should listen to her...Rocktails on location? Ahmet will have a field day and every one involved on all sides, will have a blast!!! #RocktailsTour 2025
Ahmet was the best guest on Late Night in the ‘90s hands down. I wish more people understood how important he was for making Late Night TV what it was early on. I deleted my last comment on the previous video bc I thought it was long winded and lame. Wanted to express some admiration properly. Vitalogy was the most disappointing album for me. No Dave Abbruzzese on drums wasn’t the same. My name is B, I’m from VA, I’m drinking black cherry seltzer and am a cook who is never home to call in at 5pm on a Friday but have a been a long time fan for over 20 years. Just found this radio show recently. Thank you for the entertainment dudes!!!!
I completely agree about how awesome the Zappa brothers were on late night television in the 90's...that Conan episode where they got John Tesh on stage, playing a keytar, covering The Wizard by Black Sabbath was the most memorable late night moment by anyone for me... ever since I saw it live that night...crushed it
Frank had a great monologue while playing “I Have Been in You” mocking that Peter Frampton album. It’s a classic Frank story about an English rock star and a groupie. A must listen. Pure genius. ‘78 tour.
Been rockin' out to Maiden A LOT lately because of you guys talking about them. Busted out the Fear Of The Dark and No Prayer For The Dying albums tonight in the car. Had the sunroof back in 50 degree weather letting the healing sounds travel all the way up to the heavens. It was just what the Doctor ordered. I feel like a new woman. 😂 Lookin' forward to a live show next Friday. Love you guys. 💜🖤💜🤘🎸
Mountain Dew’s kinda like a light sweet and sour mix, so Canadian whiskey and dew is like a whiskey sweet instead of a whiskey sour…is “I Used To Be An Animal” by Eric Burdon on the list? Title track sounds like a “Ghostbusters” knockoff…honorable mention, Frankie Valley covering “Don’t Think Twice it’s Alright” by BobDylan
You should have me on because I'm funny, a huge Zappa fan, and you will want me on every episode ever thereafter. Don't need much notice. Comin up from Daygo, where Frank played drums at Mission Bay High School.
No Mention that side B of Sometime in New York (The most disappointing album of all time according to Rolling Stone Is basically a Frank Zappa show (Yep I know about the Legal Issues) but Lennon shouting " ZAH-PAH" right before the awesome solo in Well is worth the price of the album - though you wanna Buy Zappa Fillmore East June 71 50th anniversary or Playground Psychotics instead - See Ahmet good Plug!!
I was thinking the same thing about that Lennon/Zappa connection...and also agree about that moment John shouts Frank into overdrive with that solo on Well Baby Please Don't Go
@ericleiter6179 ok, I can agree that the albums with Gregg Rolie and Steve Perry were pretty darn good but the Perry/Cain lineup was just so sappy. The first time I saw Journey was the first tour with Cain; I always wished I saw the earlier version with Rolie.
Love the Husker Du shirt ❤
AND HERE COMES THE CIRCULAR MOTION RUB IT.

Ahmet & Dweezil were always awesome on Conan

ghost of a dog is one of the best records from the 90s
Now Jesus will think I'm a jerk, and it would be true....

didn't you already do this?
Yes, but we did not post this one...
Jonathan Cain and Steve Perry ruined Journey.
Cain maybe, but vintage Perry...essential

@jf-sn3yy It really did get sappy...the birth of corporate rock!!!
