@@rainydays9967idk I felt bad for him in the “all stars” season when Scotley was being SUPER nasty to him and bullying him for essentially no reason. It was such gross behavior to watch. Trev isn’t the best but no one deserves to be treated like that

Another horrible dish was the lonely, overcooked duck from Season 3. Gordon was absolutely furious.
He was so furious he didn’t even waste the energy shouting as he completely gave up on the red team that night
I absolutely agree but I think the reason why they didn't add it is because everyone knows about the "Lame Duck"

Poor Trev he worked insanly hard and had good performances more often than not but bro had some less than great ideas in the solo challenges.
Too many cigarettes ruined his pallette. I also add Raj karma to it.

I do not remember him being better more often than not on both his seasons. He gets ragged on and I feel a little bad for him sometimes but he really brings it on himself with his bad cooking and his “poor pitiful me” like attitude. He makes himself an easy target.
@@CEJRAID Seriously re watch his first series again and you will notice it, his worst performances where in the first couple of episodes, there was a consistant upwards trajectory for the entire season where he was improving. It wasn't by accident he finished top 4.
The mistakes he was still making towards the end of the series had nothing to do with the quality of the food but where instead down to his tendency to work too fast and overlook small things.
You can tell Gordon respected his attitude and work ethic because of the way he dealt with these mistakes, rather than scream and throw him back to the dorms instead he would take a moment to quickly demonstrate and make Trev take a minute to cool down and stop rushing.
Its also important to remember in all this that he wasn't a professional chef he was a bartender by trade, what he accomplished without any formal training was nothing short of impressive.

Nothing was EVER his fault. He had an excuse for EVERYTHING
He said he “ran out of time”. Huge difference. That’s an indictment on himself. Whether he intended it that way or not. While what you falsely attribute is blaming someone else.

One thing that ALWAYS seems to be common in these team challenges is this scenario:
*team between presenting Dish A and Dish B. Team doesn’t really get to taste either dish.*
“I like Dish A because (insert reason why they don’t choose Dish B, usually due to looks or not liking the chef).”
*team drops Dish B, presents Dish A*
Guest chef: either “It’s okay, nothing special or memorable” or “It’s disgusting.”
*Dish A gets low or lowest possible score*
Chef Ramsay: “Could we try Dish B?”
*Ramsay and judges taste Dish B*
“Wow, that was amazing, that would’ve won you the challenge if you’d presented this instead of Dish A!”
*team loses due to not choosing Dish B*
How many times do you think THAT’S happened?
Several times, almost every season in which that happened, results in the team losing. However, if i'm not mistaken, on a recent season that wasn't the case and blue team actually drop the bad dish.
Another thing that also seems to happen commonly. Person A comes up with dish(sometimes even executes it), Person B serves it, judges/Gordon hate it, and ask who come up with dish that terrible, everyone on the team knows who it was, Person A doesnt wanna own up, but no one on the team answers either, like why? Why they keep protecting the person who did it, like Ralp in season 1 with his ribeye and grilled white peaches, Andrew served it and neither answered Gordon when he questioned who come up with it, like why?
if the dropped dish isnt better than the one that lost they usually just dont show them tasting the dropped dish
@@Lightflux - One of the times it happened was in this very video. They red team dropped Elise's dish (the vinegar dessert). Gordon insisted on tasting it anyway. It was horrible. Turned out to be the right team decision.
@@VelkanAngelsI also remember the time in season 11 where the blue team decided to drop out Dan’s dish and go for Michael’s dish and look what happened there. Michael literally costed his team’s chances of winning the challenge.

@@natesneatstuff8296The main reason why that dish lost was because Frank didn't properly follow the recipe. That was the main rule of that challenge.
@@phoenixkd2006Most of Frank's major failures came from his inability to follow instructions, honestly. He just couldn't ever do what he was told and leave it at that.

9:15 His dish looked perfectly fine to me, it's nice & simple and is far more appealing than that prawn head abomination. And so long as it doesn't look disgusting and is consistent across individual plates who cares, ultimately the taste is what's important and is what people will remember the most about a dish.

If you ever feel useless, just friendly reminder that Season 7 Red Team *never* beat The Blue Team at least once in dinner service. Even when they win, it mostly by joint winning.

An alternative title for this can be “Trev’s delusions being shattered.”
Trev got absolutely roasted in the challenges. Sure he made some dishes that were way under par but being told by a judge 'i really dislike this i want to forget this' most of felt like a right kick in the nuts
I remember Trev's dessert getting a 1 for being a "healthy dessert" was pretty controversial. Kind of like an almond dish getting rated down because the judge doesn't like almonds. Most people don't like "healthy desserts," but there are people who prefer them.
One of my favorite desserts that I make is berries, coconut milk, and just a touch of honey. It's clearly a lot different than what Trev was going for, but it's also a "healthy dessert." That's just the kind of dessert I prefer, though.
