thank you for a great tutorial. The "silly question if the day" is how a paying member will navigate to that restricted page? I have tried adding it to submenu of navigation however dont think it mean to be that way... as this way restricted pages names are visible to all, however members with relevant membership can actually see pages content.. greatly appreciate your response :-)

Thank you Michael for a full week I tried to use the coding methods to create a custom registration and member login page. Eventually, I gave up and used the universal process. So I am elated that you are showing both login process and YES please do a video on registration.

Hi, thank you very much for all what you do. Much appreciated. I have a couple of questions please. How can I assign a unique ID to each member once they register. Let's pick your examples : Teachers and Students. Let's say each student will have a unique ID, that they can share with teachers. The teacher will only have to log in into a specific teachers page, enter the student unique ID and access their page showing the student information. One last is : how can i allow students to control access to specific information in their profile (only allowing teachers to view certain things and not everything). You will make my day if you kindly respond to this. Thanks much and keep up the good work!

great video, so happy you made this one with the new features. My question is- do I need a separate member page for each of my 4 paid levels? I am hosting a virtual retreat 3/6, and will be having the 8 videos on a member page, but the additional offers included are pdf's and can't figure out how to put them all on one page and set permissions to each item? Or do I create 4 member pages- one for each pricing level- with all the videos and the downloads each level gets???? Your a special young man! thanks for sharing all your knowledge. I need to have a web site which caters for where someone can login and and then have access to their own data or information - this information on their own login page must be confidential so that only the single user has access to that information. (much like when you log into your bank account online - only you have access to your personal information and no one else can see it!) Is this something WIX can do?

Ok I am rewatching this as I am about to create my own custom login. I have one question. I see that your member page tag is still at the top right-hand corner. Do we need to create that member page first and then do the login, is that required regardless? Or does the traditional way offer an automatic member page, and the custom cal for us to create a new login? If this ic confusing, I deeply apologize.

Admittedly I'm a novice to coding, but I've had a wix site for a while. I'm trying to make an online course wix site more like Kajabi. Similar to this, where you log in, but I will have different tiered plans (Basic & Enhanced). Should I create different "hidden" pages for my paying customers to only give then access to the plan they purchased, so they basic course members don't see the enhanced members course?

I would like to be able to change the Home page background image for the seasons based on a date. For example, can I set up the background image to change to a winter scene a week before Thanksgiving? And so on.

I can't seem to get what I need working through your tutorials. My goal is to have a custom login, and custom profile, that has more than just the default options. I want people to be able to go and see the persons youtube, twitch, twitter, discord, and other links on the profiles as well as retrieve this information for events that I am hosting. So if JIM signs ups, I want to be able to import the data to another webpage JIM (RUclips Logo)(Twitter Logo)(Twitch Logo) and people can click them to redirect to their personal socials.
Hey question, is there a way to setup individual membership pages for each member, e.g. think like a Facebook page where each member can have their own information on their page. I do get that when you create a membership page they have access to their account details but can you add customisable things to each members page. Hope that makes sense 😰 currently struggling with trying to do something like this on WIX

I have "my account page" (like yours) to be able to do dropshipping and people can have an account with the site. I do have a small thing that I want to remove and don't know how.
On the "my account page" on the right side of the bar, I have "make profile public". I want to delete this future because it doesn't create a security feeling when on one side clients provide credit card information and on the other side, they have the option to make the account public to other members.
How can I delete this feature?

This is great. I set up a member area and a private page with a custom form. I set up and connected all the elements to a new dataset and checked all the fields are present in the live DB. BUT, when go to my live site, the forms are not accessible?

wow. Thank you! Very clear and direct. Question about what to select here: "first-time login" or "existing-login". It's both. Members will log in for the first time, but afterward, they will log in as an existing member. Hmmm. And the same question regarding selecting "everyone" or "approved" (those who paid). My membership will be for everyone, who paid. No approval is needed. Everyone is welcome, and there is only one tier. So, I guess I would select "first-time log-in" and "everyone" ?
These videos are such a great resource! I'd like to create a free mini-course that, when completed, will send a coupon to one of my full courses. I also want people that purchase any one particular course to be able to buy additional courses or upgraded versions of their course. If you have a moment, could you tell me how would you lay out that framework?
I have two roles, staff and clients. Is there a way to hide the restricted pages from showing on both roles menus. Currently pages I have restricted to staff still show as an option in clients accounts even though when they click on to them they are restricted of course. Just looking for a way to hide the staff page menu option so they don't show in clients account menus and vice versa.
Great video, thanks! I'm trying to use your general idea to build a page with different online courses. So let's say I have 10 courses to sell as a one-time payment, and 2 courses of continued education which would be a montly-payment. I could use the Pricing Plan idea to enroll students in the monthly payments (the same student could have one, the other or both, depending on their role right?), but how can I restrict the one-time payment courses to each paying student? I can't link the one-time payment to the pricing plans because they are recurrent, right? How can I get pass that? Thanks in advance!

I have had my website a year. And have been totally lost with it. I finally got down to business with it yesterday. I’m still struggling. But I’m glued to your Channel now. I just wish I was able to talk to people when I have questions. Calling six and getting answers don’t work well.

Your comment about getting the code snippet was a lot like my college professors saying, "the solution should be obvious to the most casual of observers". It would have been nice to have a step by step tutorial on how to get the code snippet. First sign up for Wix Academy, then figure out how to get out of the $9/mo commitment (not even a "No Thanks" button), then login to Wix Academy, then find the code snippet section, THEN REGISTER for the code snippet section, then search for the snippet you want. The whole process that should have taken

Well, I will say that it took me less than an hour to access, copy, paste the snippet. He did that redirect back to Wix, so hey, Wix could be further out there. It's 2023, and even Wix channel is just as out-dated. The one caveat I would warn against, is create a junk marketing email so your business email isn't flooded with spam. Still got the snippet faster than searching through google .js bases. He's marketing, can't blame him, but I'm not a fan of the upsell gimmicks.

I'm a little confused. I now have a custom login page that we did in developer mode and we also have a members login at the top right. My members are going to get a link when they pay from an ad to sign up to have access to the member's area. When I go to the page we developed in developer mode, it doesn't do anything and I think that is because the visitor still hasn't registered. Where do they register in order for this login to work?

I liked this tutorial, but noticed that you neglected to mention a couple things on the custom login page: 1) a "Forgot password?" hyperlink/function, and 2) hyperlinks to go back and forth between the Login page and the related Sign Up page (i.e. a user who's not yet registered who's on the Login page needs to go to the Sign Up page, and an already registered user who's on the Sign Up page needs to go to the Login page). These essential functions exist on the Wix default member login pages.

Can you do a tutorial on an accordion box for large amounts of information? Hi! Does the Universal Wix Member Login allow customers to see all their store orders they purchased on my website? I found out from a friend who purchased something in my online store and there was no login feature or a way to create an account for my website. Will the Universal Wix Member Login do this? However, in each of my BLOG entries, I have a login/sign up button at the top of each entry. I am not even sure how I added that button. But, is this login button the same thing as the Universal button shown in this video? Are they connected? If they are, how do I fix it to have a login button on my website header too? Thank you.

Hi Michael. I design pamplets for 2 seperate companies. Each company have 4 to 5 staff members. I need each of them to fill out design order forms and email them to me from my website. It appears to me that indiviual sign in on a members page that you describe above, would work for this. The form will be the same for all. I have 2 Questions: 1. After I create the membership page that you described above, do I then create that form in, 123FormBuilder? 2. Once the staff member completes that design order, can they hit send to me via email and retain a copy of what they ordered? Thank you.

Question relating to your code snippet though. I've got it set up on my login form and everything is exactly as it's supposed to be with one exception; I'm getting an error message on the redirect line of code:

SEO page reference is copied and pasted exactly, and I haven't changed anything in the code. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
