I just want customers to be able to log in to see their protected data and NOT everyone else's. I dont know why this is such a hard concept for people and wix to grasp. They certainly don't make this process easy.
Yes you right, as the Wix community grows things will get easier, We are now able to create multi sign ups for different profiles and it can be use on different things, for example an agency posting jobs for nurses and nurses looking jobs from agencies and also directly from patients who can also create their own profile and add their own listings. I just realised my Profile flow is the other way round, what I want to do is I show my Profile to the public by sharing the my link / landing page, then I have a hidden "Login Button" somewhere in the menu, and when I want to update / modify my profile, then I click on the Login Button and takes me to the "Profile Update Page" and updates the profile, once it is done, "Submit" and then take me back out to the Profile link / landing page. This is it.💪💪💪💪💪

Thanks so much, I am building a members area for someone in their Wix account, but the thing I am still unsure of is... Do I still create 1st a members page and then follow your video steps from there setting up under that section or is that not needed if I just follow your video here? I have a question I have a call center and I have a member area i'm using wix. I want to change mine to how you did yours however I have a question regarding doing this. I want be able to add personal information in each person account but only they can see it for instance their invoices. Is that possible or will everyone who has a member account will see there invoices as well?

I haven't try that but Wix does have an option for levels of membership that can be created so limits access to certain information or pages in the website. What you could do is to have them go to a page where they can access a button to take them to that specific page, that's what I'm thinking if you like lets connect and we can brainstorm. Doing it :) Question- I sent a message on the download page. But, I will also put it here. The custom member file.. Will there be a different page for each member that only they can see, or will there be a list of members that other members can see? You put together a repeater, will that be generated automatically for the new members? How do people get in there in the first place? Do you have a form that they fill in so you know they want to be a member? Or did you capture them through an email?? I am soooo confused. LOL.
The layout of the members dashboard i mentioned that you need to design it however you like, then you will connect everything to the dataset, once you do that any time a new member creates their own account it will update for them. Dont skip anything on the video because 10 seconds could lose you some important details but i got your email so we can do the zoom call to explain you better.

I've been trying to create a somewhat complex "members" dashboard and I can't seem to figure it out. I've gotten really close but I've hit a roadblock. I'm trying to create a dashboard which which will include a few different datasets. The main dashboard is to feature multiple listings attached to a user and when the user clicks each listing they are sent to a subpage which displays that listing's information. I've been able to get the main dashboard to display the listings attached to the user, using dataset filters and I've even got it to go to the sub page displaying the listing's information but the roadblock is that it only will show the first listings data, not any other listing. I believe it's because it's attached to the user's "ID" so it will most likely require code which is annoying becasue I'm so close to getting it with no code. The other issue is showing offers that have been made on that listing. Wondering if you have any code or tips to help me out.

Hi, on the content manager I dont get the same options as you do when you create a new collection ie. I dont get the option of 'who is the content for'...mine just asks me 'how many items do you want in your collection. Do i need to pay a subscription to get what you have or should anyone be able to access this? Thanks

it would be great if all information is filled up automatically on the profile from the signup page without having to go through the "update". While signing up as a new user using the third option (Not Facebook and not Google), we are writing down the first and last name, email and password, but it doesnt appear in the content manager, all what is going there is the email and after the update, its working. Is it possible to link the main page of signup with the information directly to the content manager?

Did you made sure the databases has the right permissions, also make sure you are not in sandbox and last you have to publish to see it work, this one doesnt work on preview, i also recommend using a private browser or clear your cookies to make sure is not the browser, if you still have issues , contact me here and i will help you. www.vitzael.com
iam having issues with the code i did everything you said while its working and database is connected you can see the users info...but the user can not go to it's " my profile" account..it does not work
When you go the custom route, you don't need the app because is limited, so what we do is create everything, the sign up page all the way to profile page, update profile, what it gives you is control to add fields and remove things. see this page i created www.vitzael.com/all-products click on advance classified real estate and create an account to see the back end. @@wixepicsolutions Now I have a different issue. When a user registers to the website using Facebook or a specific email, the profile button takes them to a website that doesnt exist. A friend suggested checking for a facebook API, but im unsure about what he means or if even has to do with this.
Everything good up until the logout / my profile code demonstration to link up the buttons,but when you deleted the code on the left, you didn't demonstrate how you got the string of code. you said oh here's the code, but didn't show how you did it, how you got there. now I'm stuck on how you got that string of code for the next step. In the code you can change it where it says page 1 to 2 or depending on which one you have if it doesnt work let me know i can create one that you can add.

Getting this error in Consol : staticEventsManager.ts:75 function loginButton_click_1 is registered as a static event handler but is not exported from the page code. Please remove the static event handler or export the function
Its already by default under login when clicking Log in with Email . you will have an option there that is for people who forget their password. The reason why is not in the front is because ideally you want them to use their gmail or facebook to create an account so they wont have issues or forgetting password because it will use their gmail credentials to login. it sounds confusing but contact me and i can explain you better or show you how to disable gmail and facebook sign up and login. here you can reach me www.vitzael.com

I've copied the code exactly as you put it but for some reason the login button is not working for me :( I've tried clearing caches and cookies. There must be something preventing it from prompting the login... An ideas?

Hi, on the content manager I dont get the same options as you do when you create a new collection ie. I dont get the option of 'who is the content for'...mine just asks me 'how many items do you want in your collection. Do i need to pay a subscription to get what you have or should anyone be able to access this? Thanks
Mine also already has a members area in the content manager section even though I have started from scratch with blank template?
Hi , thank you for your comment, so Wix did a new update and it won't show im the beginning, so you will create the collection then go back and change the settings. And you don't need to pay to use collections if you still have this issue i can check for you contact me here vitzael.com

Because when i click the login button, it doesnt direct me to that lightbox, i think its because since its like old code so when the wix got updated, it might be different file to be imported now

it would be great if all information is filled up automatically on the profile from the signup page without having to go through the "update". While signing up as a new user using the third option (Not Facebook and not Google), we are writing down the first and last name, email and password, but it doesnt appear in the content manager, all what is going there is the email and after the update, its working. Is it possible to link the main page of signup with the information directly to the content manager?

The dynamic pages are both members-only pages. There must be some tiny mistake somewhere that I can’t detect.
Anybody know how to make an input element overwrite info on a specific item? I want users to be able edit information on a dynamic dashboard page and I'm stuck. Using the editor is not a solution

Did you made sure the databases has the right permissions, also make sure you are not in sandbox and last you have to publish to see it work, this one doesnt work on preview, i also recommend using a private browser or clear your cookies to make sure is not the browser, if you still have issues , contact me here and i will help you. www.vitzael.com
iam having issues with the code i did everything you said while its working and database is connected you can see the users info...but the user can not go to it's " my profile" account..it does not work

When you go the custom route, you don't need the app because is limited, so what we do is create everything, the sign up page all the way to profile page, update profile, what it gives you is control to add fields and remove things. see this page i created www.vitzael.com/all-products click on advance classified real estate and create an account to see the back end.

Hi, make sure when you add the handle is the same as the code, many times this is the problem if still doesn't work reach me here and i will help you fix it.

@@wixepicsolutions Now I have a different issue. When a user registers to the website using Facebook or a specific email, the profile button takes them to a website that doesnt exist. A friend suggested checking for a facebook API, but im unsure about what he means or if even has to do with this.

I am inserting the code as similar as you did . But when on my live website try to test the Login Button Not Able to go through forward . Getting this error in Consol : staticEventsManager.ts:75 function loginButton_click_1 is registered as a static event handler but is not exported from the page code. Please remove the static event handler or export the function
I was able to resolve this issue by renaming click event code. But now not able to get into My Profile when i click the button .

How to reset the password ?? in case member forgets the password
Its already by default under login when clicking Log in with Email . you will have an option there that is for people who forget their password. The reason why is not in the front is because ideally you want them to use their gmail or facebook to create an account so they wont have issues or forgetting password because it will use their gmail credentials to login. it sounds confusing but contact me and i can explain you better or show you how to disable gmail and facebook sign up and login. here you can reach me www.vitzael.com
