  • A funny thing happened when Ed stopped to visit the house where his grandmother once lived.
    “Before beginning the encore with a tender take on “Throw Your Arms Around Me,” Vedder shared a story about the experience of returning to the apartment building where his grandmother used to live - “the sun that all the planets revolved around” - which he visited the day before the show. He marveled at the lives that had been shaped by the building and introduced a father who raised his own family in the very apartment that meant so much to Vedder and his loved ones. It was hard to hold back tears as the father, clearly touched by the experience, was seen beaming with pride on the big screens as Vedder described the man’s family including his youngest child who was soon leaving for med school.” EPONYMOUS REVIEW 09/06/23

      @jamielynne1668 10 месяцев назад +2

      That is correct lol. He is Vedder. Are we talking Stephen Morrissey? Or did you mean Jim Morrison? Doesn’t matter really. Authentic is the voice of Vedder.

    • @mc76

      He is not a white supremacist. You are correct.

    Cool story. Love it. But it my conspiracy that place is upper midterm class. Like eddie vedder. I love pearl jam, but the more he reveals things the more I think he was just a stubborn (kind of rich) cry baby.

      How did he not no awful people live in that home? Probably expensive to live to live in that part of Chicago. Idk. Cool story. It's nice.

      Can’t recall him crying about anything. And he did have a pretty fucked up childhood. Pretty rough when you don’t know who your real father is.

      I can tell by the distinctive architecture (the glass block windows, the projected doorway) and its proximity to Evanston that the dwelling in the photo is an apartment building in Rogers Park, where I lived for 10 years. It is a blue collar, lower-middle class neighborhood with a lot of first generation and recent immigrants, particularly from Middle East and the Subcontinent. Before that, it was home to diasporic European Jews. You could not be farther off in your assessment of the neighborhood--and probably Vedder.
