On a whole Cantu products with prolonged use just flakes! Ugh i got rid of my Cantu products a long time ago cuz i feel like a lot of the formulas changed and they started to package it with flakes 😂 they are just drrryyyy 😫

Yeah I try to justify why I don’t like a product because the reason why a product my not work for me may be the reason why a product works perfectly for someone else 🤗
I loved this video and glad u made it, very informing. I don’t have the ors smoothie but I have the leave in which is just as thick and I love it and the Cantu deep conditioner I just used last night and I liked it while applying but after rinsing it out, it was ehh so having mixed feelings with that. (However I didn’t use heat which my thick hair needs but 🤷🏽♀️) Yess a declutter video will be great. Peace ✌🏽

I've been subrscrided for a while now, and notification is definitely on. I had to buy a new cute wooden crate I found at Micheal's for some of my products cuz my collection is looking like a youtubers. Lol I can't go into a store without buying something. But I needs to try and pick them up more. I need a video showing us some good wash and go combos that are not all from the same line. I like to mix but I get scared I won't get a good hair day so I stick with the same stuff. Sry for the long ass comment...lol never comment and when I do this happens 😁

I crack up at the little concert in the beginning of every post😂 Anyway, I have been transitioning to natural for almost two years now and I have come to find that I am becoming a product junkie😱 Any suggestions on how to combat this?

Not sure if I commented on this video or another of yours. But I believe I mentioned giving that Sheamoisture Daily Hydration finishing serum a try, once I'd gone natural. And have to say I just re-tried it a couple of days ago. And to be honest, not sure if it's cause of a slight change in some of my hair products, spraying with distilled water before moisturizing now, my hair, or cause it's kind of "old", since I've had it for a while. But this time around it doesn't make my hair feel sticky like it did before. Which is a good thing, however even though I like the shine it gives me. I'm still not really quite getting the "hydration" part of it.
Still makes my hair feel as dry as if I had just washed it, and let it air dry. So not sure if I'm the one doing something wrong. Or that particular product needs to come with particular set of directions for achieving the best results. Cause whatever I'm doing with it, just ain't working out, lol.
As for the Cantu line....jury is still relatively out on that one. I mean I started again with the Grow Strong product and it seemed okay. But, after that finished, I began using Cantu leave in conditioner with shea butter in it. And again that one seems okay if not really doing too much other than leaving me with a white residue, if I don't heat it up a little before applying. My hair just does not really seem to do much responding to it.
But I will tell you, since my hair began coming in thicker after I had initially shaved my head bald and after using so many essential oils. You would not believe how well my hair took to Elive Total Repair 5 protein leave in and African Pride's Maximum Strength moisturizing lotion. I've experienced hardly any shedding when using those 2 products together. Maybe 2 or 3 strands here and there. Maybe a little more if I'm too vigorous, doing a scalp massage. But overall, can't say I'm putting these 2 down soon. I just need to find something that will help keep me hydrated and moisturized longer. Mind you now that I think about it. It could be the olive oil in the Moisturizer that is drying me out as well as the protein in the leave-in. As I've noticed Olive Oil can be rather drying for my hair. But then if that is the case, that doubly sucks cause 2 of the best products I've found are also likely culprits in the demise of my hair's hydration too. :(

The cream is a little too thick in consistency so it won’t really give me the results I need for my hair 😭

I tried the Lavender Collection and I was kinda disappointed. The leave in and gel weren't that moisturizing and it had a soft hold.
Yeah I was disappointed in it too!
My bonus size jbco shampoo from shea moisture went bad too. I was like "finally" cause the formula is watered down now anyways.

Lydia you’ve helped me a lot through my journey the only thing is I can’t find I correct gel for my 4a /4b hair I’m cosindering curl maker ,the Camille rose lavender line gel , arc angel gel from deva curl or ultra defining gel from deva curl ? Ik we don’t have the same hair texture but you have helped me past that so I was wondering if you can help me with this
I think any of those gels would work well! Worst case scenario you try each one at a time and return which ever ones don’t work for you.

Ooh I keep commenting but that Cantu custard just sits in the back on my hair product drawer and I have minimal products so I think that says a lot. I tried using it to slick back my hair and it's bomb but only for one day. Once you sleep on it, it flakes. You can't spritz your hair and brush it to refresh it, it FLAKES 😡😡😡
Yeah the flaking is just horrible! I need them to reformulate it ASAP
