Kimo was born in Amityville, New York, He holds an MA in Management and a BA from Berklee
College of Music in Boston. As a composer, received the Lancaster Symphony's 38th Recipient - Composers Award for
Contributions to American Music. He is a Fulbright Specialist and Encore Purpose Prize Fellow. His photography has received numerous awards and featured in The Smithsonian Magazine, National Geographic Editor's Choice, and in the permanent collection of the Chicago's National Veterans Arts
Museum.
In 2003, he co-founded and directed the "Lt Dan Band," performing for the USO Recently his photography was selected for inclusion in the 2022 new Apple TV+ series, RIPPLE EFFECTS, starring Emmy Award winner Elisabeth Moss, with Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio as
executive producer. Kimo and his creative partner and wife Carol (an exhibited artist and opinion writer for several
newspapers) live in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, on a cliff overlooking the Potomac River.

Great guy, generous guy......and musician, Kimo,,.. it's good to see this......thanks for this! ..and I had met Vinnie at Martyr's briefly for the Kimo show..so nice to talk to Vinnie a bit after the show ,he too was conversationally generous....(yes ,too, the the career conversation and his military discussion insights)...also Carol Willams..great person.. musician also.

Another superb interview Vinnie, so life affirming. I didn't know of Kimo but I'll check out his Red Summer 1919.
I'm always looking for interesting new music. The only thing that could make this film better is if you could talk face to face. You guys have such a deep connection, you are definitely soul brothers.
