    I enjoy the movie Jumper with Hayden Christiansen. It's no ones favourite movie and I wouldn't call it particularly good, but I think it takes advantage of its setting pretty well and it doesn't take itself seriously enough to really warrant much investment in its overall quality. Its a good one to put on when you're bored or trying to pass time and you won't feel bad for sitting through it.

    People have some low standards for movies, these days; especially where Robin Hood is concerned. This movie feels like they slapped the original character in the face, kicked him in the groin and sprayed acid in his eyes; slowly killing him.
    Then, once the original character died; they replaced him with someone modern audiences would find "more entertaining."
    But there's nothing entertaining about references to modern events in a medieval setting, forcefully adding actors of different races into roles that didn't call for it and making an iconic figure of legend into an idiot.
    It didn't work for the Lone Ranger and it certainly doesn't work here.
    This movie is complete and utter Dogshit

    • @libertasdemocratiam887
      @libertasdemocratiam887 5 лет назад +1

      Robin Hood isn't a character he is an old English legend, evidence points to him being a real life man once upon a time...hollywood totally ignored that fact and ignored eeeeeevery historical and cultural fact of England back in Robin's day...i mean ffs come on i have NEVER seen a church in Britain from that era that looked the way that stupid church looked in the pile of crap the movie was.
      They've took a story older than any person alive right as you read this and turned it on it's head.
      Hollywood are struggling to come up with anything original these days, they have been for a while, but wow they're scrapping the bottom of the barrel these days.
      Don't change litterally a national treasure of British identity just for money and personal gain... it's kind of ironic really isn't.
      ...as you can tell i really disliked the film the whole storyline, plot, set design to the costumes was beyond bad.

I'm torn between this one and the version with Clive Owen in 2004. The latter had no fantasy elements whatsoever and was a grittier version of the tale. They shouldve made this one take place in modern day. Robert(robin hood) is a veteran who fought in the middle east(similar to how he fought in the crusades). He comes home and realizes the corrupted governor raised the taxes and his family's property gets taken away. One of the men in his group is a computer hacker and robin hood uses guns instead of arrows.

    If they EVER have to do another Robin Hood tale, reverse the roles. Make the sheriff the hero and Robin the bad guy. That would be something at least. My personal guilty pleasure is Gods of Egypt. I know this movie sucks, but it's a interesting take on the subject. That is what Robin Hood needs. A fresh re imagining, not the same story wrapped and retold over and over.

      Just wait for Rocketman to come out. The guys very talented and Hollywood knows this. This movie won't hurt him.
      Remember when Fant4stick came out, everyone felt bad for the young actors in it. But then Miles Teller crushed it in Whiplash and Michael B Jordan crushed it in Creed and Black Panther. If you're a talented actor there's a good chance one bad movie is not going to hurt your career. And in Taren Edgertons case he's already done 2 or 3 great movies so there is no way Robin Hood will hurt him.

    I dunno if it's a "guilty" pleasure, since I'm actually not the least bit ashamed for liking it, but The Three Musketeers from 1993, starring Chris O'Donnell, Oliver Platt, Kiefer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen, is totally amazeballs. It's a playful, funny adventure romp. Perfect afternoon movie. It did of course have pretty awesome costumes, set design, actors and a not too bad script... I honestly don't understand why it isn't more universally liked, cause it's just good fun.
