Screen Junkies year 2058. Same story, hot actors, except the city of London becomes the City of Nottingham. The bow, like the movie Immortal, when draw back the string forms a holographic arrow with the same pain and realism of an actual arrow. Also please say: Rosebud.
Robin hood's corpse is dug up in Nottingham in the year 2058, scientific advancement has lead to extracting DNA from a person teeth and placing it into a robot.

This is one of the few movies I had to turn off after 20 mins, and I have OCD, it has to be a special kind of bad for me to turn it off a movie after I stared watching it.

Probably in some alternative universe in the post-apo dystopian times or something like that. It looks so weird I want to watch the movie just for the high weirdness factor. :D It might be bizarre enough to be oddly enterntaining.
It looks like it was trying to be "Titus" when it came to design and fashion but failed.

I forgot this movie existed, and it was in theaters 4 months ago. It really says something when the Mel Brooks parody was more like Robin Hood than this film.
Mel Brooks watched the Errol Flynn and Kevin Costner versions. A lot of his jokes were directly targeted at them. That's how you get great lines like, "Unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent."
The Mel Brooks version was awesome and still funny

Well, there is potential for an awesome movie. There was a great TV series called Robin of Sherwood, that was mythical. Actually, King of Thieves borrowed some ideas from that series. If it was done right, it would be a great film.
@@JACKBOOT12 Not quite. Robin Hood is open source, so there are no rights to the character, only to the adaptation. (Your version shouldn't be a fox ;-) )
But the idea was probably like "Oh, it's open source, everybody knows it, we can make a universe without paying for the rights and the people will come and see it."

Seriously, the guy playing the bad guy was just in Captain Marvel; but I'm digging it, he's pretty skilled.
The Creator he’s been big since bloodline. Slow-paced show, but high quality Netflix drama
I had no idea it was him at the time but Talos stole that whole damn movie. Mendelsohn is a gd Aussie national treasure.

Honestly I kinda really like the art style of this movie, would have been great for a Dishonored film.
I loved the machine gun arrows and the SAS style tactics in this film .. even the clothing Robin wears looked liked the 2016 clothes range from a high street store.

The Gold Digger reference was just brilliant.
A list no one asked for!
1. The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) - truly amazing and the best depiction of the legend to date.
2. Disney's Robin Hood - a fun, fresh and iconic take, if you love this one the most I understand (but give Errol Flynn a chance to impress you, the ol classic ages incredibly well)
3. Robin and Marian - Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn are charming and believable as the older Robin and Marian. The plot isn't the most riveted affair , but if you're as obsessed with the legend as I am it delivers all the iconic elements you want while delivering an actually fresh story for the well drawn and well beloved characters.
4. Robin Hood Men in Tights - a marvellous homage to Errol Flynn, and a hilarious farce and send up of all the failed robin hoods (incl. prince of thieves, which is redeemed only by Alan Rickman)
5. Douglas Fairbanks' Robin Hood (1922) - the original that sparked Hollywood's fire for this legend. The stunts, the production value, and even the writing deliver better here than most adaptations.
The common thing here is that these movies are faithful to the iconography and spirit that has made Robin Hood's legend endear for a millennia in the first place. If some hack wants to make medieval batman with no real resemblance to Robin Hood they should come up with their own damn character name.

The UK eighties TV series Robin of Sherwood deserves a place high in that list also, particularly the Michael Praed seasons.

There were a lot of things I did not like. But his robbings and that scene in the end where he revealed himself and became the leader of the people were amazing. I had a good time with this movie.

This movie made me say "Put your mask back on" so many times, it gave me 2020 flashbacks & THAT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS EASILY FORGIVEN!
Rapid fire crossbows actually existed, including belt-fed versions.
An entire sequence featuring comparisons to The Dark Knight Trilogy and you didn't even point out Ben Mendelsohn is a side villain in The Dark Knight Rises?
This was one of the most underrated movies of the year, I think they probably just cut out scenes of important character development and that somewhat ruined it and led to many head scratching moments where characters seemed to act illogically, but it probably would have made more sense without scenes being cut.
Overall, though, there was clearly more effort put into this one than most the crap they put out today. They even used real locations for parts of it, and it showed.
