    Help!
    I thought that you “HAVE” to supply voltage to the enable pin for the motor to spin, I’ve read that multiple places, I must be missing something. When I’m experimenting, my motor spins regardless of if I have the enable pin hooked up.
    Also, why don’t you need a diode? Sometimes you need it sometimes you don’t? I thought you need a diode when controlling a motor or the voltage spike will damage things.

    • @RoboCircuits
      @RoboCircuits  Год назад

      Some drivers have diodes built in …
      My driver have jumper builtin.

    • @jeffagnew1629
      @jeffagnew1629 Год назад +1

      Ah ok, thank you!
      I didn’t realize that the jumper was a little plastic piece already in place, I thought when people said jumper they meant you have to jump it with a wire.

    • @jeffagnew1629
      @jeffagnew1629 Год назад

      So 8 motors on a single channel is somewhat hard but a power supply of 18v may handle them safely

      These works on digital 0 and 1. Means only work if you put a 5 v on any of its pins.
      But the reviever works on pwm so this will basically donot work.

    I need some help the driver board light turns on but the motor don't get power from the board and it does not power the arduino

    • @RoboCircuits
      @RoboCircuits  5 лет назад +1

      Use power source to 12v input of motor driver board. Then from motor driver use 5v to power Arduino.

      You can use a battery between 5v to 35v on lm298n. But for your motor you should use 5v - 10v battery. Because the ic creates a drop of 2v hence by apping 5v your motor will receive 3v

    Super Simple.... I was looking for this. The input coming to IN1 and IN2 is about 3v so the driver is not driving it seems. I am getting 4v at respective motor output but motor doesn't run.

      @@RoboCircuits it was working sometime ago.. was working pretty well but not sure about voltage on input pins. Did not measure at that time.
      I have two motor driver IC modules.
      1. MX1508
      2. L298N
      An output coming from decoder IC on the receiver is 3.2v.
      The MX1508 works fine but L298N doesn't.
      It was working and not sure what changed. Now will test L298n by giving 5v as you did and lets see if it works.

      @CaptainRichi 6 лет назад +1

      Flix Mowry I had a similar problem a while ago and a higher voltage solved the problem. For me it didn't run at 5v at all. I couldn't even measure something with the multimeter. With 7-8 v it worked fine.

    • @RoboCircuits
      @RoboCircuits  6 лет назад

      Flix Mowry many times it won't work in low voltage because there is a small voltage drop inside ic. So use voltage more than 5v it will work quite nice.. if not then may be your module is damaged....
