Hmm, this might happened because the Simoleons 999999 cheat is working like that in Sims 4: the number you type after "money" those number of money will be added to your family/household funds! So, for example if you had 3500 Simoleons before the cheat and you want to get 10000 Simoleons you will type money 10000 on the cheat and NOT 6500 (3500 + 6500 = 10000). So, if you had more Simoleons and in the cheat you typed a smaller amount of Simoleons you would lose the Simoleons.
