In the other hand, there is no need to compensate for the bullshit hate and boring drama with all the instrumental comparison of who's a better drummer. As a matter of fact we all can learn from those musicians despite some of the changes over the 20-30 years.
Please ease some on some of the negativity here. Keep in mind that Paul has been playing this extremely intricate, both mental and physically demanding type of Music for the past 20+ years now. Coming from a Musician's standpoint, I can only imagine what it might be like when your body can no longer operate/perform like that any longer.
Do people not realize that these are the last two songs he's playing out of like an hour long set? When it comes to death metal, there's really no slow stuff that lets you catch a break. So of course hes gonna be sorta sloppy and off time in parts, he's probably tired as fuck and putting everything he has left into the last songs. If you watch videos of him recording in studio, he usually gets each song done after a few takes.

Pauls Drumming is ESSENTIAL for the cold and brutal sound of CC. Music is about feeling. Maybe one suggestion for people critizising him: There are 1,000,000 modern technical death metal drummers who sound like computers and can play 5,000 bpm single blasts. Enjoy!
i saw them for the first time live at the Masquerade from Tuesday night along with Margurdergrind, Immolation, and Napalm Death on the Decibel tour this year! my god they still got the crowd going apeshit in the mosh. fucking death metal for life!!!!

I read some of these comments and you have to remember that this after a long night of music and pounding so yeah he's gonna get tired and worn down I mean look at him you can see the tired thru the intire 2 songs they played
I have a feeling that during this time Paul was legitimately struggling with something - maybe an injury or even just not maintaining his chops. If you listen to other clips of his playing during this time, and then listen to how he sounds now, it's night and day. He's killing it again and these weird tempo variations and inability to keep up are nowhere to be found.

You guys know that the tempo changes in the studio version were intended right?
Even though i don't really like their music. Pauls drumming is absolutely insane. would love to meet him someday and just chat about drums and stuff as i play the drums aswell!
Paul rules and always have. He is essential for CCs sound.
I have asked this another video but does anyone know why Paul speeds up at the end of his blast beats?
while reminding me of a beginner drummer he still manages to be amazing
He is the death metal blueprint. Unrelenting drums every night for decades. Legend.
I had been told many many times 'Don't Sit so Low Ur Left Hand Rests on Ur Leg", Paul does & has no probs, its part his style & tech. It's never slowed me down either...
Dudes everybody who is saying that he is the Lars Ulrich of Death metal, you see Lars Ulrich doing that solo at the end?
Perfection. Metal with soul \m/
The best death metal blast beats. CANNIBAL BLAST!
The drum talk interview is a good watch also 👍
His drumming is superb, 10/10, best drummer in metal. He has an almost classical rubato to his playing while still grooving hard. It's tasteful
This is the only way i like to listen to CC. Perfect mix
Something that differs Paul from the whiners is that he plays in worlds biggest and best death metal act, whilst they don't....
You rule Paul.
He is playing older songs here. The new material that Cannibal Corpse wrote is so much more tech than these 2 songs. For the beats that he created so many years ago for these songs, he playing them just fine. Paul is a legend.
GOSH i go fucking insane when i see this shit, SO FUCKING AWESOME! GO CORPSE!!!! We love everything about you!
Pauls Drumming is ESSENTIAL for the cold and brutal sound of CC. Music is about feeling. Maybe one suggestion for people critizising him: There are 1,000,000 modern technical death metal drummers who sound like computers and can play 5,000 bpm single blasts. Enjoy!
Can you imagine if this was your grandpa.
i saw them for the first time live at the Masquerade from Tuesday night along with Margurdergrind, Immolation, and Napalm Death on the Decibel tour this year! my god they still got the crowd going apeshit in the mosh. fucking death metal for life!!!!
His bass drums sound amazing
his timing is just fine
That little flurry at the end was kinda cool!
Anyone know what kind of shoes those are? Those are dope
Bro, one of the gods of metal. At 50!, this dude kicks ass.
cannibal has always just been it’s own thing, no one can top their style of playing. even when they dropped murderous rampage they kept their old sound
8:23 paul doing a left handed blast!!! I've never seen that before!
Play this in 2x speed 😆😆😆
I love Paul! He is not the most technical drummer but he's perfect for Cannibal's style!
one of the first deathmetal tracks I've heard :) Great fun it was.
someone please explain the guy that comes and give one single hit to the ride´s bell??
It's the old drummer from Revocation who is his drum tech
I read some of these comments and you have to remember that this after a long night of music and pounding so yeah he's gonna get tired and worn down I mean look at him you can see the tired thru the intire 2 songs they played
I have a feeling that during this time Paul was legitimately struggling with something - maybe an injury or even just not maintaining his chops. If you listen to other clips of his playing during this time, and then listen to how he sounds now, it's night and day. He's killing it again and these weird tempo variations and inability to keep up are nowhere to be found.
Underrated drummer.
PAUL is KING! Ground breaking drumming!
As great of a drummer Paul is,I can’t get over him stiff arming/or wrist ,I’ve never seen a drummer do this, and he accomplishes so much being a death metal drummer 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻Cannibal forever
it’s death metal
@@pjket4229 Thanks for correcting me
