- Video del monolith of death con audio mejorado. This video is on monolith of death tour 1997.. so i mixed up with a better audio check this out
His voice was so powerful then. Could knock down a building......
The Erratic Drummer its still pretty powerful to be fair, not too far from this actually which is impressive for a guy approaching 50
It sounds the same now
Sure
i heard them live at blue ridge this year and he still sounds loud and powerful! crazy at his age and for how long he’s been at it!
@@David-bo5uc nah he had a wider voice range
This is by far the best live version of this song I've found on here.
Imo cannibalism live is the best one
It should've been on the album instead!
Best version period
3:34 duuude
STRAIGHT CHILLS
Brutal
Where are the screams like this on the recordings??
@@jamesg8141 Barnes recorded this song, wasn't Corpsegrinder. Barnes couldn't do these vocals this well at this point. Pretty sad to go from what Barnes was to what he is in just a few short years.
0:07 George's epic jump!!! PRICELESS!!! the energy of Metal!!!
I KEEP WATCHING THAT TOO! its so badass to see he isnt just there. Hes LOVING the music and just insanely energized.
3:34 holy shit
My words exactly
That is insane..jeez George's vocals were brutal...
Damn, his voice was so fucking epic back then! I mean you could literally understand every word he said!
0:08 lol the jump George did
The Erratic Drummer shit lol its right on time
The Erratic Drummer fucking scary dude.
Badass !
No he was windmilling to hard and he almost flew-
Someone must've asked what the fuck? Lmao
George just went extreme head banging on 3:19 🤘🏽
His vocals was so deep and mighty here it sounds like the lowest growls of a plugged up sink.
0:45 The delivery on "Let loose all the anger" Priceless
The audio appeared at least as a bonus track on the Vile Digipak version. Still love it as hell. Best DM album ever made; no bullshit, just awesomeness from track to the next..
MONOLITH13 my favorite song is shredded humans and zero the hero
best Performance of Hammer smashed face he's a fucking beast and will always be my Nr 1 vocalist
Beautiful audio for 1997
He mixed the audio for it to sound high quality
@@fedora997 I believe so yes
He sounded like the hulk at the beginning
😂
Corpsegrinder was a beast back in the day. Sad to hear his voice going out and straining nowadays. At least he’s still giving 100%
Still hasn't resorted to EEEEEEEE at least!
Bruh that’s not corpse grinder… I’m 14 and I know this, this is actually Chris Barnes, the first lead vocalist before George Fisher (corpse grinder) joined in
Never mind I seen another video of them playing this live and it was with Barnes
@@TristanCook-kb9ne Bruh, I’ve been listening to cannibal corpse longer than you’ve been alive. Bruh.
@@TristanCook-kb9neit’s not it’s corpsegrinder dummy
wow, i usually do not like corpsegrinders vocals but he sounds fucking awesome in this
He was a beast until Wretched Spawn. Not sure if he learned a "proper technique" during that timet, but he doesn't get as low as he used to since then and his delivery has become what Webster hated about Barnes, ironically. He even admits that he tends to mumble if needed to keep the delivery "brutal"
he's definitely trying to sound like Barnes and i LOVE IT
his growl is louder than chris
@@sws7961 microphone
@@metalheadsnotdead ok? I don't understand
@@metalheadsnotdead idiot barnes used a microphone on live too, are you an idiot or something
@@metalheadsnotdead Are you implying that Corpsegrinder only sounded louder than Barnes because Barnes didn't use a micropphone? Lolwhat
3:18 fastest headbanging ever
He’s a helicopter!!
getting rid of chris barnes was one of the greatest decisions ever made in music
Barnes was an awesome vocalist in his prime, but his prime was relatively short and in just a few years, he went from being one of the best guttural vocalists to the EEEEE bullshit. It also doesn't help that he's nearly incapable of taking criticism, which is what ultimately drove a rift between him and the rest of the band it seems. I agree with you wholeheartedly that parting ways with Barnes was the best decision they could have made, but just wanted to provide some more context because there's a lot of people who shit on Barnes (and well deserved at this point) but just ignore his past and his contributions to the genre.
When Georege was Skinny :v
Romelknot Rod he should perform shirtless more often 🍆 💦
He isn't fat he is just a big dude
His neck is also just that big
When he had a necj
K*
LOL that jump Fisher does in the beginning xD
I've still got Sepultura Orgasmatron live at Donnington at Number one but this will now need to be assessed and a place found in my top twenty live death performances for sure thanks 🙏
Favorite live version of the song... Wish I never cut my dreds I would windmill too
This is incredible! ⚡️🔥
Every singer in every genre needs to watch death metal live to learn how to hold a mic to their mouth.
I thought the end was round so it would more comfortably fit in my hand while I cup the mic!
Feb. 2024 still rockin' and rolling 🤘🇵🇭
A big CC Fan from the Philippines 🇵🇭💥
Brutal! Possibly the best version of the song.
Playing Hammer Smashed Face on a Les Paul. Beyond savage.
Look at that energy 😮
How he can headbang at this velocity?
His neck is that powerful
@@xeroxed7766 I know that
That's how his neck got massive.
The cocaine power.😄😄😄😄
I swear i heard this audio on an old mid 90's Metal Blade comp...Metalmeister i believe it was called. It had a live version of this song on it and it sounded exactly the same. The comp had quite a few volumes if i remember correctly so i don't know which version it was on.
Alex Webster!!! Greatest bass player EVER!!! 🤘🏾💯🤷🏽♂️ change my fkn mind!
Cliff Burton lol
Maybe in metal terms but there is way better players based on purely technical ability.
DOnGlesS b0ne yes I’m metal. Period.
David Ellefson
He was inspired by cliff... the fucking burton🖤
This is amazing
This is badass perfect. They are just really good.
🔥😈 I think I’ve listened to this video about 20 times in a row now
Caught a drumb stick back in 93 in Raleigh NC at a club called Snokers, They absolute blew everybody's minds back then, Wish I still had that stick 🤦🏻 We got to meet the band and Chris Barnes was a complete snob! lol The rest of the guys were super cool, I really didn't expect that, we were all really let down by the way Chris acted!! I met Glen Benton around the same time and I expected he would be a fricn lunatic but he was way cooler than Chis, we blazed in my car before the show, It was a trip looking at the cross branded into his forehead up close, it was pretty fresh at the time too 😆
Bro!!.. WTF!? George slayed this song so hard it’s like a brutal lullaby. This sounds so damn good! Didn’t realize he could do lows better than Chris. Holy God.
This video sounds awesome, but I think they actually sound heavier live now. Maybe it's because they slowed down the tempo slightly, tune differently, or just use better gear now? Either way, CC is always brutal!!!!!!!
Better sound engineering and improved PA systems probably help yeah
oldschool rules
buen audio y buen video
good god his voice sounds like a fucking monster here
Beautiful
best version for me
the best band of DM and the most powerful voice fisheeeeeer
my footage from the vhs tape. actual date is 8.18.96. shot at the fillmore in sf, ca. on tour with anthrax, life of agony and the misfits.

Niñito rata descubriendo a CC? XD
Me voy a alimentar de tus interiores
Saw them open for Anthrax and Misfits (sans Glenn) in 96 at SOMA in San Diego.
i didn't know until today that corpsegrinder has been pretty slim compared to nowadays
This son is just a master piece
The best Deathmetal In The Word \m/
Vile-era George was off the fucking chain!
Dudes 52 now and is even more brutal
3:18 wow....
Alright, so NOW I'm seeing the era of Corpsegrinder that Nathan Explosion is drawing inspiration from.
Mejor, imposible,🎸🎸🎸🎸
Ol George sure has put on some size since back then. Beastly
That is some premium headbanging
Death metal with les paul guitar...¡Damn man!.
Супер энергия
10x better than chris barnes.
agree
Confia
Nunca
Never
EEEEEEEEEE
Les paul guitar and solid state amp. It's great for my.
More like a les paul run through a boss metal zone into a marshall.
I think now it's a dean cadilliac run through a Maxon overdrive into a boogie.
I'm still looking for Greg
Weird seeing George with a somewhat normal sized neck
Litt....🔥🔥
Excuse me! Is Greg here? Thank you!
Yeah when people say metal isn’t real music I show them this
🤘🤘🤘
Они такие милашки
SICK
even the uninitiated can hear how tight and clean that is 🤟😀🇦🇺
This is fucking brutal. Fucking amazing.
Pit would’ve been like walking head onto a tank

Was a different vocalist back then
Back then Chris Barnes was the vocalist.
George looks so fucking scary in this video. Like he'd rip you in half
Good ol' days.

Fucking good
George is the most scaried human being that i saw!
...SONG OF THE DAY!!!
CANNIBAL CORPSE - HAMMER SMASHED FACE (1992)
Guys he didn't jump, he forgot to control the speed of his windmill and almost took off.
0:30 \m/
Back then Robb rocked his head, nowadays he looks like a robot onstage
Old age, it’s not his fault
I wonder who they were opening for back then
I though it was Bernes on vocals. George and Chris used to siund similar by that time
Chris Barnes sounds like an evil demon while Corpsegrinder sounds like a fucking monster
You must be kidding..
Omg
3:35 reminded me of the Monstrosity days.
