Today is the day that I enter the doctors office to learn about the results of my MRI for my prostate. I have so many thoughts going on in my head at the moment and I have no idea what will take place. While I was being sorry for myself I came upon your video, I have to say that you are a lighthouse in the thick of things at the moment for me. I know that we are at opposite ends of the spectrum at this time, however, I can't help but to see myself in your shoes very soon. Thanks for taking the time to share with people your story, it helped me to keep my head up. Best wishes going forward.
I recently started my advanced prostate cancer journey and not only have I learned that exercise is a big deal for managing side effects of ADT and fighting cancer, but eating a mainly plant based diet with broccoli, tomatoes, flax seed, and green tea have benefits as well. Cutting out eggs and dairy help too. UCSF has a great guide with more details on a diet for for those with prostate cancer.
well said . There are new treatments and advancements all the time. I have been following your journey and understand how hard things can be. I was 52 when diagnosed with a PSA of 3645 and full bone mets. I'm 56 now and have a great life still. There's a brilliant drug that has been out a while called Lutitium 177 but in this country is only available privately and not on the NHS due to the cost. it has shown amazing results. Good luck on your journey
Thanks for the upbeat message. A positive attitude can be an indispensable component to the cancer journey. Exercise is a major factor in fighting the side effects of treatment, and also the hardest to find motivation for. But walking has been a great benefit in my 2.5 year journey with stage 3 P.C.
I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer about 4 months ago after my PSA started rapidly rising. After reading some of the work and watching videos of Dr Michael Greger. I tried tomato sauce therapy. It contains lycopene but it doesn't work as a supplement it has to be with its natural constituents. I've been taking 2 dessert spoons of tomato ketchup 3 times a day. At my last PSA test, it had stabilised. I've now also started hormone therapy. This has given me a lot more hope for the future. It's worth looking into if it saves your life.
Listen to most of your valuable videos and I admire your positive attitude. What you say about going training is correct in my book. Total agree with you 👍 💯 % You keep going as well as your positive attitude and your fitness regime will help you a lot. Be good 👍 and Be Happy
Thank you for sharing your story Alan, mine is another story I been diagnos with gleason 9 and stage 2 pc thanks to my persistent to the Doctor to check my prostate they found my pc early stage. I've been to RALP last July and still couldn't fullfill any exercises because of the things stock in my wound inside me n they will take it out in 3 days from now in form of another surgery. I hope after that it will be okay my PSA after surgry was good result I hope it will stay that way but I'm still worry every minute though. My dad and cousin gone frome this diseases. I hope someday they will find a better cure without side effect even with advance pc.
Thanks for the positive message. 7 months into my advanced prostate cancer journey. My Pluvicto results so far have been encouraging. It was not around until a few years ago. Exercise is VERY important.
Thankyou Alan you are a inspiration to me. Last treatment took away 98 percent of my cancer. . They can’t see any but my psa shows I still have some. On a new treatment, go for my second one today. It’s a battle but like you say, what’s the alternative. I’m force myself to exercise. It affected my legs neuropathy, not fun but I’m hanging in there.working on my 16 th years in the battle. There’s always hope. All kinds of new treatments out there.
Thank you for that inspirational talk even though it’s exhausting and I am in a similar state of fatigue undergoing numerous oral reduction treatments about to get another shot tomorrow. I’m going to think about your advice and try to fight through fatigue and something new in my life. it’s just different and, difficult to.
There are no scientific studies that I know of, Alan, that demonstrate the industry estimates are accurate. The industry estimates supposedly compare people who opt for none of the conventional treatments versus those who receive all the usual terhapies. That hasn't happened. So your "choose 2 or five years" is probably just pure med industry fiction. No one knows. I do know my personal experience as a "non-treater": my two buddies with prostate cancer (diagnosed within a few months of my diagnosis) and who did all the treatments -- are now in fact "long gone." That doesn't prove my case, of course, but the fact is that Big Medicine has not proven its case, either. (All three of us were diagnosed with Gleason 8 in 2017.)
I’m sure you mean well, but what you’re posting is pure anecdote. This has nothing to do with science. Unload the paranoia. The pharmaceutical companies, although a business, have excellent science, and have made great advancements to mankind.
The anecdote was not intended as science. However, I'm all about the science - and science does not mean Big Pharma propaganda. So, if you''re so convinced that you speak for science, can you link me to a single peer-reviewed study that confirms the superiority of standard PC treatments versus non-treatments (aside from lifestyle and diet changes)? The study, in order to have scientific validity, would need to directly compare survival rates of non (traditionally) treated PC to conventionally treated PC. In other words, a study that doesn't repeat Big Pharma claims and requires blind faith that their figures/claims are true. The pronouncements of criminal organizations such as Pfizer do not equal truth. @@scienceforall8778
Thanks, brother. I listened to my two good friends complain constantly about the negative effects of being on anti-androgens. One of my friends described it as "making me feel as jittery as if I was on a rollercoaster" or something similar to that. They both looked more and more like old women. And the testosterone treatment did nothing to prevent their cancers from metastasizing (as far as I could see). If you look up the original anti-androgen experiments, you discover they absolutely did not cure prostate cancer - merely temporarily reduced prostate growth. Later, the cancer roared back. Yet, when you listen to urologists these days, they never mention that. Well, almost never. I made one "rogue urologist" friend online famous for telling it like it is. He said he "pulsed" the anti-androgen treatments in small doses and let men recover during "rest periods" so the negative effects were reduced. Maybe he's onto something? @@robertjayroe9900
I cleared my prostrate cancer🌟 I now drink everyday : Org. Tomato juice w/o vinegar . 1 large org. Red onion 1 org. Avocado Cashew butter 2 oz. Blend all together 💪.
So do supplements like Turmeric, Broccoli sprouts or Turkey Tail mushrooms have any effect ? Best wishes mate, you are not alone. . I watch Joel Osteen, he is very uplifting and positive always. Osteen's Mom had stage 4 cancer 40 years ago, and shes still walking around.

It’s extremely had to do, I know. But when you make the effort you should feel the benefit afterwards.
I wish you well.

Keep calm and carry on….the outdoors can be another form of treatment.
I’m watching…good work!
Thanks Ken
You made the right choice. Peoples who tell you they will choose the "two years normal life" probably doesn't have cancer... So, easy to talk...
Keep going.

Say it three times fast - Quantum Computing, Quantum Computing, Quantum Computing. :)
My own choice was a prostatectomy . I’m free of the disease now. . Get it out . Good luck mate .
Never free of it even after prostatectomy. Go google and learn~
The problem is it's takes years for these new treatments to be available to us normal people because of the insane costs charged.
Alpha fold 3 is hopeful
It certainly seems interesting!
