I’ll have to try your recommendation on my next trip to Paris, but I’ve had a Margherita pizza in Naples that has been called the best pizza in the world by chefs. I’m not an expert, but that’s a high level. The best pizza I’ve had in France was in Nice, probably because there are so many Italians there. Honestly I have never had pizza in Paris.
We will be in Paris on the 13th! Let me know the link to meet you! We are spending the day in Fontainebleau, but will be back in the early evening! We have your guide and love your dog, Cooper, and look forward to meeting you both!
Pizza Chic in the 6th was right next to my hotel and delicious! I actually ate there twice on my last trip in May. Really good and the waitstaff are so lovely❤ I am from New Haven CT in the USA which is deemed the best pizza in the country and your pizza kind of looked like it! A little char on the undercarriage - love it! Will check it out on my next visit 💕
As a person spoiled by the heavenly New Haven CT holy trinity pizza places and lucky enough to eat too many pizzas in Milano, now I have to try oobrast when I’m in Paris
Good pizza is worth the trip. My buddy had a pizzeria and I would drive 40 minutes each way to get it... he ended closing because he was a one man show and it was too much. My stepkids and I still talk about the pizza and grinders 20 years later. I still miss Rallo's.
We ate at Bobby’s following a prior recommendation you had. It is the only place I wish I could go back to and hope it isn’t closed next time we are fortunate to travel back to Paris. Not only was the pizza incredible, but the owner/manager we talked with was very hospitable. Genuinely someone I wish I could hang out with and make pizza with back here in the U.S. For those who want to try multiple pizza places, I won’t know how good Dan’s is, so put Bobby’s on your list and spread the love!
Daniel Pearson is not what you might call a 'classic' pizza-maker. Daniel is a reasearcher and a great connoisseur of dough and the ideal ingredients to pair well. He is an artist, a creator, with a great eye for cooking in general. That's why his pizzas are unique, unrepeatable, inimitable.
Sourdough crust is a must! I can’t have wheat in a solid form anymore (I can still have a larger), but luckily, my favorite gluten free pizza uses a fermented dough. But, it’s $29.00 Californian. Hehe! Now, I want pizza!
There was a pizza place in Paris that my brother and I went to in July 2019, though I dont remember the name. We had to wait in line for a table for two, it was very popular it seemed, and it was good!
Thanks, that's a few steps from where I live (and - for historical trivia - is right around the corner from the clinic on rue des Bluets where the Lamaze birthing method was developed) Even though that pizza seems a bit pricey and the crust looks a bit thin and burnt, as the recommendation comes from an adept pizza addict such as yourself, I guess it's worth a try. All Paris needs now (as you mentioned!) is a damned *correct* burrito (I'm a native Californian whose godmother/neighbor was a wonderful Mexican woman who babysat, cooked-for and fed me, as a niño ... Paris doesn't seem to know what refried beans are!) There is also other good fast food in the neighborhood - though simpler and less chic than this Oobatz place; Have you tired the Berlin style Turkish doner at Sürpriz on Oberkampf? Maybe see you at you soirée in June.
I'll be doing a marathon in Paris during the Olympics. If you're in town let's get together for some wine. It'd be nice to meet the guy that's gotten me through Paris
I grew up in NorCal, and our family's go to pizza was the gourmet veggie from Papa Murphy's take n' bake, hahahahha, I'm not kidding. My mom was a slightly crunchy granola mom, and fast food was rare in our house, but every once in a while like once every 2 months or so the parents would give in and get pizza or Chinese take out or teriyaki bowls, lol Anyways, it was cheeper back then, late 90s or so, to get take n bake pizza then to order a pizza from a shop, and the gourmet veggie has a ton of veggies on it so my mom didn't feel as bad, lol. But to this day it's the only pizza I've ever literally craved, I try to recreate it out here in France where I live now, and when I used to live in South Korea, but I still fall short of the taste, lol, so anytime I go home now, which is like every 2 years at the most, I will always request it for one night, lol
Am I the only one wondering how many takes did you need for the 2 escalator monologues? Great idea although I did worry about the safety of your phone!
The crust makes the pizza. Thin crust is the best way. And I say “rats” I was going to come up for your T-shirt party but, I have biz stuff which makes it not feasible that week. (Although, I did stop in Abricot bar a few weeks ago) 🌴🌴Aloha
It’s not fair to the new person he’s dating. It’s emotional cheating. You can’t be friends with someone who used to be in a relationship with it’s just not possible. Especially if you still have feelings for them and they still have feelings for you. It’s Wrong. Are you eligible to apply for French citizenship yet?

The camera shots on the escalator were great. You must have been channeling Orson Wells!
I loved Augusto in the 9e; Quatrro Formaggio was legit. Also had East Mamma which was good. It appears that Oobatz is next on the list to try ...
Give it a go!

The pizza of my youth is a great ghost to haunt my dreams 😆🍕👻
Many thanks Jay! Went there yesterday, awesome Pizza!
Glad you enjoyed it!
oobatz confirmed in its own genre
he's from my home town, and also La Fine Mousse (still existing beer side) is my favorite place, how cool!

Thankfully Bobby's is still thriving too!
Those pizzas looked pretty yummy.
So gooooooood
Pizza 🍕 must be the dish of the week! I made pizza at home from scratch - good fun! And leftovers for breakfast the next day 😊
Daroco Bourse is also excellent and the servers are really nice and the interior is beautiful.
🧸🍕Excellent Pizza Recommendation Jay🍕 I Hope you Relaunch those T Shirts soon!
Bobby’s!!! It was fantastic
Yum! We didn't end up getting pizza on our first visit, but plan to next time 😊
It's so goooooood
So excited!! Don't undersell La Fine Moose either! Just upset I have to go further away to get Dan's pizza now.
Welcome to my world 😆😆🍕
Can't wait to try it!
It's so good!

Margarita pizza is my litmus test as well
Gotta see what's going on with the basics 🍕🍕🍕
That thin crust is gonna live on my mind for a while.. I'll definitely check it out this week!
They might be books out, but open reservations every two weeks!
I'll check in out when I'm in Paris inthe fall for the Paris Rolex Masters, thanks!
They're so worth it
Got the shirt today, looks great!!
Yess!
Dan’s pizza looks great! Definitely 💯
So good!

I definitely have good Pappa Murphy's memories 🍕
My t-shirt arrived on my birthday! ❤
Yes!! Happy birthday!
Is there any way you could ask if they use anything BESIDES OLIVE OIL to make these pizzas
look like a good pizza. how much would it cost to open a retaurant like that? Just ask Dan. Thanks!
The best pizza I have found in Paris is at Il Quadrifoglio. It is nearly impossible to get a good pizza in Paris. I'll give this place a try.
Thanks for the rec!
We love Peppe Pizzeria Martyrs but we'll give Oobatz a try next time.
Love them both!
Those pizzas looked as good as you said they tasted. I’m hungry now lol.
So good

I love a good margarita pizza!❤🍕🍕🍕
Have you tried Oxymore pizza on rue St. Maur in the same neighborhood? I eat there when I’m in the city. Darn good pizza.

Enza Famiglia is the best I had in Paris.

Bobby's one of my recs!
I only have three days . I can’t be cloned and visit everything in three days
LOL - Next week: The only wine in Paris?
Thankfully there's plenty of that 🥂🥂
that's completely unbiased... the pizza is burned btw Jay. You can find excellent pizza in any big mamma group restaurants in Paris.
Soft launch with a new oven, I trust they'll have it all figured out in no time (and it was still 10x better than a mamma za 😘🍕)
Shoot! I leave Paris the morning of June 6 otherwise I'd be there.
I really like me some good pizza but the burned pieces stops me right in my tracks: do you know how bad these are for your health??😅😖
Eh a few burnt patches are the least of our worries - plus they taste so gooooood!
👍💐👍💐👍
😏
🍕🥂
OMG! Pizza is burnt 😅

The pizza?
Jay, do you know any good places to eat around Orly airport, is our last night in France 🇫🇷
Unfortunately no, my recs are all more central!
@@JaySwanson Thanks Jay, maybe next time I’m in 🇫🇷.
