The author of community pantry was Ana Patricia Non the sad thing is even this act of kindness.politically destroy by 1 Gen.of the arm forces of the philippines. That' the true intentions of ms Ana is distabilized the government.and they claim Ms Ana is member of cpp npa or leftist group.they says it's only a decoy to shame the government for figthing covid-19 and for all the people supper hunger Bec of lockdown and no jobs for everyone. For me my self. When I saw that act and have a domino effect for the others even we and my family and friends do the same thing in our barrio. Up to this moment we continue to do that work for our less fortunate neighbors. I'm not rich and not poor also. I believe this time of pandemic we need to help each other. Just simply because. Who never know one Day ifyou are dead even how rich you are your money can't go with you in the grave to save you.

Im not that etnicity but i admired them for their kindness and i admired you too lovely couple for showing to the world how other nationalities spread kindness and i think we need to give love to anybody else esp those who are needy without in return.
Thats what filipinos are..always helping, giving and sharing especially when we are facing calamities and now COVID-19 pandemic. Even we are poor,we can't help but be generous to those who needed help.
That's what people around the world should do.

it all started with one act of kindness and a simple but powerful slogan: "magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, kumuha batay sa pangangailangan. '' (give whatever you can, take only what you need.) and this simple phrase have been used on every community pantry all over the country. we also started community pantry last month with the help of some colleagues and friends here in our place and still exist as of today.
That's why Phillipines is beautiful and humble country

The foods they gave were also comes from people who has more than others have. They share what they have. So that they can also survive in time of pandemic like we all experience globally. Like what the old saying Filipinos can survived all calamities they may encountwe bcoz they have a golden heart to share even a smile 👍👍👍
In order to make things more convenient for the communities, Ms. Non had changed her process from being a community pantry where people can go to into a donation and distribution hub. They now accept contributions and distribute the food to the community pantries in the different barangays in several districts and even some nearby provinces. This is keep people from travelling such long distances just to get to the community pantry, this way the people save the money they would have used as fares and also avoid over exposing themselves to the virus by commuting long distances.

Kudos to those people with a heart of gold. We should not also forget that it was the Philippine government that started it all. They constantly provide support in cash and in kind and in tranches all over the country. They do not discriminate even foreigners who are stranded received their food supplies. I know the government should do it but the Philippine government is unique because they've given away billions worth of goods and in kind and yet they are all free, no strings attached. Unlike in another countries, they give away some amount but they all come from the people's savings (their own retirement benefits). Philippines is so lucky to have this government in times of crises.
