It was the Brixton riots that were the result of Margaret Thatchers poll tax. You have no idea. J Rotten is taking the piss out of Brittany and the Clash. Get it? There is nothing sweet or cool about it. Goth is just a trend so is emo. It's like wearing a costume in black looking like a join -in. No anthem, no message no idea. D

He's right, it's happening everywhere. Buildings with history, things that would stand a thousand years if you let them - replaced by some shitawful pile of glass and aluminium that looks like a cat's vomited it up. They'll stand 20, maybe 30 years and then be replaced by some other soulless kak.
Even when I come across modern architecture I don't mind, it has a place - and that place isn't the centre of London, or any other city.

You feel you've gained some cheap notoriety writing word for word what he just stated. Or...Maybe your writing a book of quotes or your just making sure we remember....No, you've seen others do that and you copied them. Wankers like you always will... AND.... ONLY Wankers would think that was clever. It's not. Are you gonna go buy a new spiked leather jacket next. In my generation you would be called a poser.

@@dazauto1400 That's how I dated it, with Evening Standard headlines. I think the McCartney/Mills headline is a bit misleading because their spat went on for years, but if you check the other Evening Standard headlines dotted about, it points to 2008. Also this video comes from the Sex Pistols "There'll always be an England" concert film from 2008 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There%27ll_Always_Be_an_England_(film) Now that doesn't categorically define the year Lydon was on the open top bus, but I think the other Evening Standard headlines do. @D B True. It's strange when you listen to the way young lads speak nowadays. They speak in a Jamaican accent, I bet they couldn't point to Jamaica on a map. Most of them come from upper class families. Why do they speak like Damian Marley?
