One would have had to have gone to the extreme in their actions to get the location of their grave dismantled... Jimmy Savile's grave was dismantled out of respect for public opionion
I have answer to most things but youtube is to scared to view my opinion. Johnny is confused like alot of people. He's close but doesn't get the cigar. Money can't buy you love.
I Completely agree with John's Assessment of The Ramones !! Not only do I think they are overrated, I also think that there relevance in general has been " Incredibly Overstated as well " !! The Disparity between The Pistols And The Ramones " Couldn't Be Greater " In My View !!! From Adrian Browne 1965
I like Ramones, and Sex Pistols, but I prefer The Pistols and I find American's can't fathom what cultural impact The Pistols had on the UK, during the 1970's. 1970's were really shitty, with endless strikes, 3 Day Week, mass unemployment, and pretentious music, and Pistols came along, and blew everything that came before them, and that cultural impact is being still being felt today, particularly the debauchery of the Royal Family. John was spot on with the Royal Family years ago.
John has been manipulating the press a bit recently regarding the 'Pistol' mini series and has shown a little bit of disrespect towards his ex band mates, that doesn't bode too well with me but that aside he was and always will be the voice of a generation.
I love John, Steve, Paul, and Glen, and it's a shame that this mini series has fragmented the band, perhaps, forever. To be honest, Steve has never really liked John, and there are times over the years, they have slung mud at each other , so I don't think the venom always lies with Lydon, although, Jonesy has mellowed a lot, and, I am happy for him that he's still doing Jonesy Jukebox by podcast now. John is John, despite his faults. The venom between each other frustrates me as a fan, because I really want to them get on, and they are not getting any younger. Time is so short, and it doesn't wait for anyone. The mini series looks like a pile of shite to me, made by an corporation, I have no time for, and for me, there is no film or documentary that has done Sex Pistols justice apart from The Filth And The Fury, and Huddersfield Christmas 1977. And yes, I agree he is the voice of a generation.
@@SynthJohn You are correct John and Steve never got on, from Lydons audition to Winterland and even through the reunions there was always friction, travelling separately, different hotels etc. The Pistol series I did watch and the six episodes centred around Steve Jones so I wouldn't class it as a sex pistols biopic, there were a few accuracies in it but there was also a fair bit of fiction which was only to be expected for something 'based' on someones memoirs and the fact it was over 45 years ago peoples memories are a bit hazy.....including mine.
He was the voice of my generation, and I have told him that face to face in the mid 90’s but he isn’t anymore. I am happy he is taking care of his wife! And I am sorry about Ari-up. He has had tons of grief and sadness in his life lately. I think he should have been involved in the pistol series, and he was asked. Maybe he was to busy, but he said he never know about it, and that is just not the truth.
A brilliant guy in some ways and very entertaining. But unfortunately it seems he can really treat people badly at times. In a really degrading and humiliating way. But definitely a unique individual.
Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris, Gary Glitter, Jonathan King all did porridge. Royal Family and politicians are unfortunately untouchable in the eyes of the law.
Lydon says they were "not allowed" to talk about Savile because the pistols were manufactured and groomed like every other band that gets to be that famous. they were a controlled opposition band. If Johnny is such a threat to the establishment like he pretends to be no one could have stopped him speaking out about Savile. He knew the fame would be taken away if he kept on talking like that.
@@vac8846 If you was in Lydon's position would you have spoken out about in Saville 1978? BBC are far more responsible than Lydon for being Savile's enabler to his despicable crimes. Lydon said his bit. What else could have he done?
@SynthJohn you make some good points. He is definitely a very caring and decent human being and obviously not perfect like anyone else. I just think he wasn't supposed to say "we're not allowed...to talk" because he revealed that, like all celebrities, they have handlers and he would have been given a stern warning after those comments.
I'm a John fan,but I just can't take any more"punk was this punk was that"stuff any longer, even from him-Vivienne was a clothes designer and Malcolm was a conman, what more needs to be said?
I get where you come from. Punk has always been the most divisive genre on what it actually is, or what it meant to people, and you get figureheads from American and British punk scenes drunkenly arguing over it. Lydon and Marky Ramone, a lot of that was cringe.
dont get me wrong i agree with john on most things but new york punk was great ramones dead boys jonnhy thuders dictacoers ect plus maclome stole richared hell look with spicky hair and saftey pins
There was some great NY punk, yes, but I can't forgive the NY drug scene that was implanted into UK Punk by Johnny Thunders, which saw a lot of deaths and addicts on the UK punk scene. Poor Steve Jones was an drug addict for years. There's no place for heroin in this world..
I don’t know why Lyndon hates the Ramones I love both bands but all truth Ramones made 14 albums and did 3200 shows and started in 1974 no need to compare. Long live Steve Jones he’s the Sex Pistols could care less about the lyrics I crank up that guitar
Lydon has always been outspoken when comes to the dismissal of American punk. Imo, I think Lydon saw the effects of heroin on the British punk scene when Johnny Thunders came over, and the effect it had on Sid, so that might have started his resentment towards the American punk rock scene. I've never understand why American and British punk is compared all the time. Both were completely different scenes. I prefer British punk, because i'm British, and i'll be honest a bit biased. To be honest, I do find Marky Ramone a bit arrogant, going on about which band came first. It shouldn't matter. Punk is universal. You don't see Black Sabbath bitching to Deep Purple on a metal panel on what band came first, only in punk that happens 😂😂
@@SynthJohn I agree marky should have said nothing to Lydon that day. I listen to to thunders and Ramones as well of all British punk and California punk everyday love it all. Ps Dee dee was the only heroine addict in Ramones thanks for writing.
He doesn't care about the Ramones clearly because as he said they were a completely different band. It's no comparison. He probably hates being compared to them all the time! I would!
I don't understand, does he hate the word punk or does he like. One minute he'll bad mouth the word and the next he'll call himself punk, I love Lydon but the man has to make up his mind on punk.
Younger John hate the term punk, older John has begrudgingly come to accept it imo. John has that conflicting, contradictory nature, which doesn't endear itself to people, but that's the way he is.
@@mr.pulpnoir3526 John loved their guitar sound particularly when John McGeoch was in the band, although he wasn't keen on their lyrical content, saying it was too reliant on horror and Stephen King, which I disagree with him with that, as Siouxsie wrote some great songs like Halloween, Spellbound, Happy House, and had an distinctive vocal style, which set her apart from a lot of her punk peers.
@@mr.pulpnoir3526 I like Stephen King novels, particularly his older novels, not so much his modern stuff, and the only song that referenced Stephen King was Christine. Love PiL too.
And Dee Dee was popping yellow heads off his face, looking at dirty mags while listening to the first three Stooges albums... fact.. well, maybe opinion... 😂😂
Fsir enough John, Kate Bush was creative, but she was one of the upper class toffee you hate and a right wing tory to boot. So her hippie-ish front was just that. A front. But anyway... off with her head, and on with the vid
Glad he spoke out about the highly overrated boy band called the Ramones - 4 geeks with zero variety or originality , nothing compared to any of the main UK bands of the time - can’t see the appeal of them , stacks of average mediocre groups like them - who really would be inspired by them ? They created fuck all to get excited about and done nothing to deserve the reputation they have .
I agree that British punk is better, stacked with great bands like Damned, Clash, X Ray Spex, Slits, Subway Sect, Buzzcocks, although for me they are some great American punk bands too, like Misfits, Johnny Thunders And The Heartbreakers, however the American punk scene was too druggy.

@@typhoon2minerva Lydon loves Kate Bush, so it would be pretty magical to hear both of them having an deep, profound, conversation with each other.

John talking about the gun with real bullets in wanting them changed on set that’s so apt with what has just happened with Alex Baldwin shooting and killing that girl while filming it’s bonkers to think there allowed real bullets on set as if this happening to that girl couldn’t of been foreseen.
One would have had to have gone to the extreme in their actions to get the location of their grave dismantled...

Thanks 4 Your Support Re My Post . Take Care !!! From Adrian Browne 1965
Thankyou Take Care From Adrian Browne 1965
Cigar muncher ! 🤣
John should be given a university degree for his intellectual skills.

@@SynthJohn true,I was referring more to those behind the scenes.👍

That’s how they all make their money mate. Not many honest business people who are. How much have you got?
32 40 , Why did you stop it there he's take on religion would of been intresting , sakr .
dont get me wrong i agree with john on most things but new york punk was great ramones dead boys jonnhy thuders dictacoers ect plus maclome stole richared hell look with spicky hair and saftey pins
@@SynthJohn true jonnhy ramone never touch that shit saint from aus never touch it ever there were punk in london doing speed though
I would!
As musicians, the Ramones were far tighter, far superior.
You don care about lyrics?? Thats why you like the ramones ppf jajaj
@@SynthJohn I'd to hear his thoughts on Siouxsie Sioux or Siouxsie and the Banshees is?
@@mr.pulpnoir3526 John loved their guitar sound particularly when John McGeoch was in the band, although he wasn't keen on their lyrical content, saying it was too reliant on horror and Stephen King, which I disagree with him with that, as Siouxsie wrote some great songs like Halloween, Spellbound, Happy House, and had an distinctive vocal style, which set her apart from a lot of her punk peers.
@@SynthJohn I disagree as well, because if the sounded like Stephen King novels they wouldn't sound that great.
Love PiL and love the Banshees.
@@mr.pulpnoir3526 I like Stephen King novels, particularly his older novels, not so much his modern stuff, and the only song that referenced Stephen King was Christine. Love PiL too.
The Ramones were around before the Sex Pistols...fact.
