In my opinion, it really depends on how important pirate rumble is to you because pvp whitebeard is only useful in pirate rumble on the other hand the new years sugo may have a lot of legends you need rated up to help you clear future content. So its just what is a priority for you.
if you are f2p why thinking about pirate rumble since it was a gems burning place, even with pvp unit like whitebeard you can only fight 3 time per day, unless you want to burn ur gems.. shitty rumble team with 50+ gems to burn = top rank on the championship godly rumble team with no gems to burn = nowhere near top rank so if you ready to spend all your gems on rumble, pull for whitebeard.. but if no, then don't..

Throw Bohemian Knight Doma on the team as a sub and you can clear pretty much all content. Might struggle with Raid Enel tho
