I like Doug having a sense of humor. All I know is that kali or arnis transformed to dance routine when spaniards banned the training of this martial arts so no one could revolt against the spaniards. So instead, local dubbed it as their tribal dance or ritual ceremony not knowing that they are practicing this martial art.
