Man, I love that little anecdote at the start, Noob. But it made me wanna cry, because my dad passed in 2008 when I was 18, and he loved race cars, always watching NASCAR & F1 every weekend growing up, and I would've loved to share with him my burgeoning love of Sim Racing, and I know he would've loved to Sin race at even my broke, used wheel level. I'm so happy for you to have got that experience with your Dad though, just a bit jealous. ❤️
Nice, I totally agree with mounting the screens off the motion rig, as not only does it stop any failure of the screens, as they are not designed for these types of vibrations, but the horizon also stays were it should in the real world, as your neck and eyes will filter out most of the cars vertical movements. Can also recommend enclosing the area around the screens with blackout panels, which really improves immersion. Also recommend trying a active belt system.
Best 6DOF motion simulator is by far the MotionXP 6DOF PRIME for half the price of the QUBIC but with much more motion ranges, silence and capabilities…..I finally bought one after evaluating at least 10 brands and companies including Motion System and QUBIC in Poland, Edge 6D in Netherland etc…..Only draw back, the PRIME is a more or less DIY platform, kind of IKEA for gamers….with huge tutorials elements and help from the installed park of users.
the race with your dad sounded awesome!!! that rig is effin jaw-dropping. Appreciate your detailed no bs perspectives and this is a new life goal, wow!!!
Thanks for such a detailed video. I wish I had found it earlier, but it works anyway. See, We just acquired two QS S25's for the university I work for in Puerto Rico. I'd love to stay in touch, were getting ready for a May - July Delivery and your video has been super helpful. Keep em coming!!
What an awe inspiring setup. The sim rig itself I knew would be expensive but I didn't even consider that you had 3x A80Js as well and that audio setup! I think its safe to say Noob has the best gaming setup in existence.
Absolutely fantastic Noobifier. So happy for you that you get to use this every day, what a wonderful time to be alive and to be able to enjoy this level of hardware as a consumer. Magical! I've ordered a DOF H3 motion rig to use in VR and am so excited to build the rig and hide the cables. Love a clean set-up!
What BS is this? Every racing motion sim player says that motion kills their times and many of them have good 6dof systems. This smacks of him being paid off or feeling in debt because of what you got or wanting to keep a relationship going. This is so off of what every other motion sim person says that he is almost 100% selling a pitch.
I follow you for a long time, and your basement always mesmerized me with so many cool toys... I have quiet a nice configuration myself after years of upgrades, but you really achieved any enthousiast simer's dream there. Also, you must have a really great wife that let you spend so much into it. Mine is litterally having anxiety crysis everytime I'm in front of the screen, specially when I wear my G2 . So even if I had the will to build such a setup, I'd have to sacrifice my familly over it, which is a no go... I'm jealous and admirative at the same time ! Living the dream and getting paid for it is quiet an achievement. Keep making us dream ! o7

This looks insane dude. The motion feedback speeding you up is not what I'd have thought and is such a nice little benefit. Oh and btw your IAE coverage was absolutely top notch, thanks for that and all the hard work. o7
I also have a pretty high end motion system not quite at this level… but my only beef with this is not utilizing 8020 profile for adjustments on the cockpit. There are a lot of things you can add to this like seat belt tighteners and g force seats. Also shifters come on a huge range of options so profile gives you that flexibility. Other then that, this thing is awesome!
Very nice description of your setup. VR would of course add to the immersion. For anyone thinking of going the motion system route, in VR, yaw, surge and sway are not as important as fundamental forces, as they can be simulated with pitch and roll movement. Not 100% perfect of course, since you could start to feel the angles at large forces, but still, they will be quite convincing. So pitch, roll and heave are the tree most important ones, especially for flight simulation, where heave is very important.
On another note, even though it is considered expensive, it’s a bargain for what it would cost to actually experience what it simulates, and provides a safer option to operating the real life equivalent.
This is really cool. I definitely want one. Not this year. But i'll take a look at getting the money together for something like this next year sometime.
I could only invest in this if I lived in a first world country. Delivery would be brutal and if it broke impossible to fix. Unless I did it myself. It's a great system and hopefully if I ever migrate to the US I will own one.
Noob thank you for doing all the leg work for us!! Amazing setup! Now to start saving the pennies and let Santa know what I want for next Christmas!! 😁
Hello Noobifier, Thank you for these great videos. They are greatly appreciated. I have a question, that I cant seem to find much about with sim rigs\cockpits. I am in the planning phase of building myself a sim racing rig. I am hoping to be able to build a system that can be used by my son as well, with minimal effort. Seat sliders, pedal sliders are good, but how would I be able to do a seat and pedal height adjustment 'on-the-fly'. Would you have any suggestions for products? My rig will be a custom built alu extrusion rig.
Great setup. What i always wonder about: how many Sim Studios have the time to include an API to hand over all the data a 6 DOF system needs. Even ForceFeedback is a small niche, so the number of consumer with such a rig has to be tiny. Any plans on using it with VR?
I wonder how it compares to the 6dof PT-Actuators that Barry from SRG reviewed a few years ago? PTs are much more affordable at almost half the price, while they have about the same efficiency and load capacity(250kg), plus PT require less space.
There is actually a second one on order, to replace the smaller one. It will not play SC because the game company would need to do some work to provide a data stream.
I was looking into this exact model, great timing on the video! What switch over process do you have for changing from flight controls to car/auto controls, is that a pain or long process? Thanks again for a great video
I ended up making mounts for this. The wheel assembly comes off super easy, but attaching it again takes about an hour. I have prototyped an alternative to their system that is 4 hand bolts.
not that i cold afford a car worth of "gadget" like this, but i have to ask... since you only shown a car game, and flight-simulator, how well does this works with SC?
Some of the portions showing flight I couldn't get a good view of the control layout. Do you find it works well, comfortable mounting spots for a HOSAS setup? With the smaller Monstertech/QBit setup it seemed like the sticks were right there beside the chair but on this it kind of look like it would need to be off to the side and forward more.
The fact you didn't mention it maybe suggests it's either not something you're interested in, or you don't think it's very good, but I'd be interested to hear how well a motion rig like this plays with VR. While I'm sure I'd make an exception for your setup, I don't think I'd like to go back to looking at regular screens after experiencing simming in VR for the last couple of years.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Cool. So I take it they work well together then! I wasn't sure if something about the physical movement would break the VR immersion or not.
Just a question.. this rig looks insanely beefy.. will it last years and years of use? Or are there expensive parts that are going to wear out and break and cost lots to replace/fix? Me in particular DCS, racing sims (a few of them) and Star Citizen. How do they know how to move.. is it game data fed to the drivers to move it.. thus games have to support it?
The system is overbuilt. Actuators can be replaced for 1k if they do fail due to extreme use. The software supports a list of 100 game titles including MSFS and DCS. @@NOOBIFIER1337 Thanks for the response. But what about D-Box 6" system ? 4500HD-6. Can that system compete with Quibic ?
How would this be with Star Citizen?
I suppose it would be quite fun.
Are the cylinders pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical?
Electric. Anything else would require pumps, lines, compressors and be loud or hot.
Curious as to why you are using 3 screens instead of VR (Varjo Aero)?
I run VR too. On both systems. It looked stupid for the B Roll
@@NOOBIFIER1337 How well does the motion compensation work in VR? Is it actually long term usable or did you find that you wanted to look at triple screens instead.
@@markkovalcson7243 works fine. Loos bad in a video so I didn’t show it
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Is it still calculated compensation where you input the offset to where your head is from some reference point? How long did it take to dial the compensation in?
@@markkovalcson7243 it’s included in their software. It compensates automatically based on a 10 second calibration
My sim has a 'Spike filter' built in to stop it from hurting me during crashes etc - does the Qubic system come with something similar?
Of course. It will give you 100% if you like, until the system detects an action that might hurt you or it.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Nice, I figured so for the price. It has also saved me more then once :-). I actually moved away from a Stewart Platform a few years ago ( link if interested ruclips.net/video/1fhe9ntHc_o/видео.html ) for a faster more powerful 3 DOF (up to 500mm Sec - 1.8KW servo motors) were roll, pitch and short heave/surge/sway are managed by the 3DOF and long sway, surge and heave are manage by G systems. If interested I have attached a link to a full G system seat that I built to test out ideas ( ruclips.net/video/UrmUTB_KSM8/видео.html ). All the best, your setup with the two systems looks great!
This. This is what i want.
Send me an email I will help
Is it possible to mount screens to the platform, so they move with you while using sim?
Yes, it’s an option

thanks for reply and for the upload

What does one do for a living to afford such an amazing play room?😯
Wow ❤❤❤❤❤
Question can it be used with star citizen?
No
quick question... how can you afford 35k$ in this?
Im retired.
Dit moi
Je suis curieux de savoir Qu’est-ce que tu fais apart RUclips pour pouvoir t’offrir tout ça
What do you mean? Im retired
@ 1:56 - you say you have no affiliation, yet you are the distributor? Some things don't add up....I'd say that its a huge affiliation.
The video was made. They offered to be a distributor after.
have you tried it with VR?
Of course. Daily
LOL McIntosh audio for that? Jeez man. lol
Why not. It sounds awesome.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 tbh I think any decent surround set would be just as good.
@@bullshitdepartment The Mcintosh got your attention. It was the point
@@NOOBIFIER1337 fair enough lol
Your videos and setups are awesome, but let's be honest, how many people could afford or justify spending 10k on a motion platform let alone 30k?
This may be true, but I have already had three emails from people who are interested.
Okay, but I could also see a very real market for a VR studio to rent out time on one of these - I'd pay $50-100 for an hour tbh.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 I'm not saying that this isn't obtainable for anyone, they obviously wouldn't have spent all the money in R&D and manufacturing this product if there wasn't a market for it, I'm just saying that owing a rig like this is unobtainable for 99% of the real world. Not hate here from me, I'd love to have a rig like this one day, just can't justify spending that much on an already out of control spending habit like most of us have in the Sim world. If I bought this rig I'd have to make sure I could attach a twin sized mattress to it as I'd have to live in it after my wife divorced me and took the house. 🤣
@@ReleaseTheZacken23 I am currently renting it for $250/h
@@NOOBIFIER1337 how popular is it? Worth getting a loan to run a pro simulator side business? 🤣
once bolted down, OVER CLOCK IT!!!
when the motion system costs more than your bank account

Weeoo!
what in the hell is going on with those metal outlets & conduits?!? is that a thing in the states????
I am in Canada, it is a brick wall.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 The brick wall is irrelevant ...?! haha metal conduit for electrical is crazy to me as an Australian, I hope everything is earthed correctly 😅😂
