Well Done! What a vid. Including a cameo from diddy slope too! haha. I hope Namco and other publishers see this and and reach out so you can do some more Whoop Whoop!
The show honestly feels right out of the 80s, with Pacman getting into all sorts of crazy shenanigans with laughable villains and a sprinkling of school drama and some overarching plot points (his parents are missing, so some episodes like to hint at what happened to them but ultimately lead nowhere).
Anyone else notice how Slope is wearing a different shirt everytime he is in front of the camera. He has been doing this for the past few videos. The extra time to do this small detail is just a the extra mile we can expect him to go. Thanks for the videos.
I only did this for the 2 pac man videos. This is such a big documentary when both are put together I wanted to do something that not everyone would notice as a little extra for the hardcore peeps
Its crazy to think that 1 simple idea can blow up to be so huge, ive had a way to play Pac-Man my entire life and its a game i will never get tired of. From Pac-Man 256 on my xbox to Pac-Man vs./world 2 on my gamecube, Pac-Man is still verry much a part of my life and is being passed down to my kids as well. Thank you for not just another amazing video but for the walk down memory lane, i appreciate you.
I remember playing the enhanced port of Ms. Pac-Man on the genesis/md! they definitely went all-out with new features, the new co-op mode, new additional mazes it was quite the port! the original is definitely my favorite entry in the entire pac-man series though (I was actually able to pick up the ms. pac arcade 1up this month and been having a blast playing the included games on it!) these retrospectives are always top-notch stuff!
The coolest day at my college, long long ago was the day they set up PacMan VR in the parking lot, put the helmet on and chased around ghosts in a 3D maze
This turned out great! I had a passing familiarity with most of these but it was great to hear about them in a bit more detail along with the stuff I missed. Like I had no idea Party Royale and Geo existed. Good work!
Absolutely great retrospective, really loved your fair and critical professionalism, instead of kissing up with bias or bashing out of pure hatred, you were very pleasant to watch, thanks for this very well done video!
I quite like Pacman 2. Its so unique. I remember reading about it in Segavision during the day and eventually renting it for a weekend. That's really all you need with that game. Kind of reminds me of Panic on the SegaCD in that its less of a game and more of a toy.
I don't think it was mentioned because it's not technically a video game, but my favorite pac man game is Pac Man Smash Air Hockey. It's a MUST play if you find it at an arcade! It's like regular air hockey, but once a goal is scored, tons of mini pucks pour out and it's a frenzy to see who can score the most points by getting the minis into the opponents goal.
This was amazing! Thank you! I've played a good portion of the games on this list, starting with with original in arcades. You're right that CE and CE DX are incredible, and 99 is pretty awesome so far. Thanks for all the work you put into this video!
Great video. I had no idea there had been so many Pac-Man games. I can’t conceive the amount of research that must have gone into this complete history. Also the amount of t-shirts worn must be some kind of record 👍
Really high-quality documentary, fantastic work! Have only played PAC-Man a handful of times admittedly, but this has made me a new fan; gonna pick up and play some Championship Edition to see what I’ve missed out on
Damn slope... your editing wizardry is simply amazing. your speaking seemed to be in one take with all the costume changes. i couldn't detect any kind of break between shirt updates.
I remember there used to be a Red Bull themed Pac-man machine (the power pellets were cans of Red Bull) at this store I used to go to. The bottom of the cabinet was a mini fridge; it was pretty slick for just marketing an energy drink.
I've only been following you for the past few months so I missed this at the time. That was amazing! Thankyou!!! :) And seeing you rocking a Blink 182 T-shirt is always extra cool!
I played pac man world 2 right next to battle for bikini bottom when I was a kid and these games really did grown me into the 3d platforming lover I am today.
I'd love for them to bring Pac-Man Party Royale and Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle to the Switch!!! There's also the new Pac-Man Battle Royale Chompionship Edition, which looks great as well
The Pac-man World series is a ton of fun. And I think I'm going to have to pick up PAc-Man & The Ghostly Adventures - it looks like a fun retro 3D platformer.
I actually bought Pac-Man Pizza Parlor years ago on BigFishGames website. I don't buy from them anymore due to the whole controversy surrounding their subscription model, which I myself was a victim of a couple of times. But seeing as how there isn't a better alternative to the client without resorting to piracy that can easily infect my computer with viruses, I guess I'll just have to stay subscribed for the time being, just so I can continue playing these games. Also Dan, please don't scare me with that Fun Fact thing from Caddy's old videos ever again! That song will always remain jarring to me regardless of how different others feel about it!
After Championship Edition DX+ , I was hoping to hear the mention of PAC-Man Museum ( released February 25, 2014 (PSN)/ February 26, 2014 (Xbox Live). Other than that pretty good two part Documentary, I watched both parts, now I’m subscribed to the channel. Looking forward to going back to check out older videos 👍🏾.
Not a video game but I love the PAC Man air hockey table, at a point in the game it just dumps like 60 mini pucks onto the table and you get to go crazy trying to get as many goals as possible
I just don't get why I don't get alerts! I'm glad I randomly decided to check the channel since I hadn't seen an alert in a while and the last vid I saw was the first part to this when you first put it out. That aside, great video as always! Oh, as for the ghost named Kinky...I wonder if they were just trying to keep with the nky pattern with a color (like Pinky). Kin-iro means gold. So maybe that's why it has the name Kinky.
Have you ever gotten a chance to try Pac-Man Museum+? It has most of the games you've mentioned over these two vids all contained in a nice, customizable arcade hub.
Thanks for mentioning "pacman adventures in Time" was good working on this title, even if it had bizzare publisher contracts. It was a bit of a publisher mess but turned out well by the end.
Hey, Slope's Game Room! In a future video, can you please do the complete history of Sonic the Hedgehog? The franchise just celebrated its 30th Anniversary this year! Pretty please?
Pac-Man Championship Edition was released in the arcades. I know this because I saw it at Dave & Buster's. Also, if you do a search, you can find the NES ROM "demake" version.
Shame you didn't show the Gameboy version of Pac-In-Time. It is superior and is a very good port of Fury of the Furries, like actually THAT game unlike the 16 bit version.
I honestly didn't know Pac-man Arrangement was an arcade game. I just thought it was something they made for the Pac-man Collection on the GBA. I use to play that all the time.
Pac-Man 2 wasn't well liked but I actually enjoyed it. I played the Genesis/MD version and it took a bit to get the idea of what the game was and what you needed to do but after beating it my first time, I thought it was pretty good. I should go back play this again.
Actually, the Pac-Man in Ghostly Adventures (known as Pac-World in Japan) is the descendant of the original Pac-Man. In fact, a representative from Namco stated in an interview that Pac's parents are the "original" Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man!
Bamco really dropped the ball by making Mega Tunnel Battle a Stadia exclusive. That game should've been available on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation instead.

Whoop Whoop!
Can you do a history on Paper Mario?
Slope's Game Room, you should definitely do the complete history of Bayonetta!
Well at least it isn't ball shavers but something useful. 🤷♂
That was an almighty number of t-shirt changes.
I stopped counting at 30. LOL.
quite literally every time it cut back to himself he was in a different shirt.
i can't begin to imagine how much effort went into this. Well done Daniel, good work
It was a mental one mate. Thanks for the comment
I guess we can have a rough idea of how many days this took just to record some footage by counting how many different shirts he wears lol
Pac-Man 99 was a very welcome surprise. I still can't believe they just dropped it out of the blue. 🤯
7:16 that commercial would *NEVER* fly today.....LOL.
That pacman 2 TV spot is REALLY disturbing....
It really is, pretty much encouragement of bullying
A shame though PAL never got the game for Mega Drive. 😢
Feel like I've been to Pac Man college for the last 2.5hrs...both parts are excellent, great job!

@@slopesgameroom LoL, first thing I basically noticed after 2 or 3 screens. But a neat little extra, those shirts rock!

@@PACNATIC it was an actual release but the units were these massive things so it was probably very expensive and hard to store
@@slopesgameroom its better than tetris
Cool, I'm actually catching new Slope's vids within minutes now, not catching up from months to years prior!
DJ Slope changes his clothes in one video more than I have in Animal Crossing all year!
Maybe a sign of how many days this took to record
48:45 is this supposed to be a Jamaican or Arnold Schwarzenegger imitation?!? 😂
Marvelous mate 🔥 👍!
Long live Pac-Man and Daniel Ibbertson, aka DJ Slope 😎!

I love the Caddy bit. "Fun fact! Did you know?"
Oh man, Pac-Man 256. Such a good game. I’ve run the battery out on my phone so many times playing it.

Waka waka waka waka waka waka waka waka waka waka waka!!!! YES! Congratulations! This series is a must-watch!
WAKA WAKA, Pac-Man will always be a cute and lovable character to me. How can you not smile when you look at his gleaming sunny smiling face?

Great video. Thanks so much for all your hard work in putting this together.
Pac Man Arrangement is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! And I didn't even know it existed until last December. A wonderful discovery. I play it all the time!
Over 4 decades of chomping madness all told in an epic, feature length, presentation.
16:10 Ah yes... That does sound like quite a pain in the ƎᗡIƧ
This video is a cool one especially when you see the shirt transitions. I thought I was losing it after a short minute
Spectacular video, your enthusiasm for the subject really shined through. Thanks for making it! 👏🏻👏🏻

An hour and some change about pac-man? Color me excited!
I bought the same Flexispot a few months ago, absolutely brilliant. Really easy to assemble too, took me 20 minutes single handed.
yep, glad you liked it mate :D
Slope, these two videos have been awesome. I love them
I really hope that there will be a Pac Man World remaster or sequel soon! Such a simple but fun series that needs to come back.
I want all 3 PMW games to be on current gen consoles, maybe in a collection.
Well you got the first one, now let's see if they do the sequel.
The Pac-man World series is a ton of fun. And I think I'm going to have to pick up PAc-Man & The Ghostly Adventures - it looks like a fun retro 3D platformer.

Yo, at 40:29 I would have never expected that shirt! So cool.
I Just ate a row of pac pellets, dare me to drive? Lol
I like to imagine there's a clothing rack just off screen and you just change shirts every few minutes rather than have separate recording sessions.
Who else loves SGR’s accent? I don’t know what I would do without my daily dose of “fankfully”, “fanks”, “fhree”, and “five”...

I love that I chose to watch part one and two instead of a movie... Was the better option... Would recommend.
