Wow-a goldfish tank that actually looks great! Anubias rules ❤
I would put a diffuser on the HOB. Looks like they are avoiding the right side.🤔🤔🤔
It was actually sitting up on the frame quite a bit - once I got it in place more the flow wasn’t quite as drastic. I can also turn it down on the seachems.
Joanna is the 'Cavalry' coming to rescue Jason's 'no patience planting' technique. Thankfully.
great scape, absolutely love the shimmer from the lights. Looks 'classy' definite upgrade .............thanks, cool video
Minnows would be cool in this tank
Hi Jason, Hikari came out with a new med called Intestipro, which will compete with API General Cure.
I wonder if it is just metronidazole?
@@PrimeTimeAquaticsThey state both Prazi and Metro plus salt.
Haha my polleni loved the Anubias but never bothered the Java fern.
I have 8 common/feeder goldfish in a 110 gallon tub pond. it has pennywort covering the top, there is pennywort covering the top, water sprite, water wisteria, amazon swords, and crypt wendetii growing in the deep sand substrate.
a couple times a week I dump duckweed ive scooped out of aquariums in the tub, the Goldies eat it but leave the other plants completely alone.
Nice tank!
And I appreciate that you intend to keep it for the goldfish only!
Goldfish get big, I'd say this is spot on, a 55 gallon tank would be minimum size for one or maybe two goldfish!
I'd go for an even bigger tank if it was regular goldfish, the fancy goldfish can barely swim, so the tank size need only to keep the water quality at acceptable levels.
Regular goldfish need additional swim space, I'd say a 75 gallon tank can take two of them, but rather go bigger than to small!
Nice job on your "first" scape! I'm not a goldfish guy but if/when I do keep them it will be those types in that kind of tank :)
"Joanna made me plant the plants myself" poor Jason 😢 looking good though 😂
Have you ever mentioned what paint you use and what it's long term lifespan is? Even if you have, can you tell us again for the kids who sit in the back of the classroom and weren't paying attention?
For example, I know a guy, an everyday Joe such as yourself, who painted his aquarium, and it's all peeling off now. Clearly, paint matters.
We use the acrylic paint from hobby lobby. It sticks well with three coats, but then can be scraped right off with some water and a razor blade. 😀
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Tha KS you! The kids in the back row appreciate it 🙏🏼
Most of those Anubias are huge. It would be nice to have some that size.
I think the sharp edges of the dragon rock will be dangerous to their big eyes. 🤞🏽Besides that the tank look great!👌🏽
Great setup looks fantastic
I dig it! The lights, the taller anubias, the texture of the wood and rock, it all lends itself to a very shadowy feel. Really makes the goldies pop.
The scape looks great. I think fancy goldfish have the best personalities.
looks very good!
Good looking tank! 👍
Very Nice Jason!! Youre becoming quite the aquascaper!!
After growing and aquascaping with anubias for 5 years including running a small anubias farm, I am surprised that aquarists are still using super glue to attach the rhizomes to wood or rocks. I switched to thin zip ties. I drill a small hole if necessary to weave the zip tie through. Drilling is easy on wood and I use a diamond point drill bit on small, interesting limestone pieces. You have to try it to realize all the inherent problems in using super glue.
We’ve don’t it a million times - never had any issues.
Thank you so much for showing fancy goldfish! I have mine in a 75 with a 35 gallon sump, so running about 100 gallons of water through it. I have 5 fish in it and with anubius and java fern. I stopped showing pictures of it cause I got tired of people saying I am overstocked. I say balderdash! I check my parameters before each weekly WC of 30% and my nitrates never go above 20. My fish are over a year old and highly active and growing like mad. Please do an in depth video on goldfish!!!!!!!!!!
So cool!
Looks awesome!
Looks great
I love it!!! I want a fancy goldfish tank!!! Good scape! Gina
So cool!
Hi! Random question but how many kuhli loaches and Cory cats could I keep in a 29g tank? Thanks! 😌 🙏🏻😁
6 each would probably be cool.
I love goldfish.. beautiful tank.
Thank you!
Is this black diamond blasting sand. That's what i plan to use on my 110..
No - this was Petsmart black sand (whatever they carry at the time).
Hi, the new leaves of my anubs are not growing big, remains small for a long tome and leaves have green spots. what is lacking here? Thanks.
Possibly nothing - it can grow very slowly and if the Anubias was grown out of water at first the leaf size can be different in water. The spots might be algae?
I love it! I have anubias and java fern in my fancy goldfish tank. Now I want to do this;
Very cool!
Some white clouds would work great in that tank.
I actually added something else that is REALLY cool! : -)
I love this tank! Awesome aquascaping - How do your plants get so big!
They’re really old. Haha
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Thanks that’s good to know! But one has to keep them alive for them to get old… I’ll check out the lighting as well
Looks great, I made a very similar scape with my 75 back in November.
I've had notifications turned on for your channel for years...why is it that I'm not getting notifications anymore ?
Try unsubscribing the subscribing again. That has happened to me and this fixed it. Good luck.😊

That’s NOT cool!
I absolutely love goldfish ans anubias...what a treat this video :-)
Scape looks great with the large anubias.
No Gold fish please 😢
Why?

Great Job Jason! A happy tank 😀
Beautiful tank! Thank you for showing the goldfish AND clearing up about your goldfish leaving the Anubias alone.
They have never seemed to have much interest in it.
The tank looks fabulous. You did a great job scaping that tank by yourself, Jason. And I have to agree with you about the shimmering effect. I love it too. It adds so much to the overall aesthetics of the tank. It's so peaceful to just sit back and watch it. Oh, and we can't forget about the beautiful goldfish. I bet they're loving their new home as well. Thanks for sharing with us 😊.
They are loving it!
I just love that tank!!! It's really a nice scape. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
The scape looks great Jason! I love the goldfish in there! The light looks great.
Thank you!
