    allow me to give you suggestions. whenever you do that, - don't be in hurry. you put extensive force to lift it up, - and you not paying attention if your jacks are slipping out of the place or not. Also your impact drill, - set it on the lowest impact setting and do a litter pressure on the switch to start it slowly. Either it is recommended to start unscrewing nuts with a simple wrench, - and then you can finish with your power tool. I understand you are doing youtube and you want to look fast and impressive, - but take your time and pay attention, - cause you can end up as the other RUclipsrs wich damaged cars, - when jacks really slipped and their cars fell down.

    If you lift your car high enough, you only need one jack

    What brand of jacks are those? Also, listing one corner should lift the whole side (with teslas) no?

  • @Weathergeekdan

    Why did you have to jack them at the same time?

    Aren’t the tires supposed to be rotated front to back on the same side? This keeps the tire directional and “outside” sidewall aligned correctly.

      @josee.1278 2 года назад

      I was about to ask because last time I checked the all season tires are directional which means rotation is front to back and vice versa. Also I wouldn’t have attempted to do this w/o jack stands as you pointed out. Good job though nothing happened.

      I have a 2022 model Y, the original tires are not directional.

      AWD can be a crisscrossed tire swap.

    • @kcaegis45
      @kcaegis45 Месяц назад

      Only directional tire s/b front to back and back to front. And you can tell if your tire is directional if there is an arrow on your tire for the direction otherwise they are non directional if no arrows and you can and should use the cross pattern method as Tesla recommends now from there 19/05/2024 update.

    Good video but this is what the Tesla Service manual states: "CAUTION To avoid damage, NEVER support the vehicle from diagonal points (for example, LH front and RH rear) at the same time." Oops! Did you hear any creaking from your HV battery?

      I didn't feel right lifting it that way. I shouldn't of done it that way.

    This video is WRONG. Don't do a diagonal lift ie Left Front and Rear Right.

  • @RetroExhibitCollective
    @RetroExhibitCollective 3 месяца назад +1

    You don’t need 2 jacks for this. You can just lift the back and the front automatically goes up because how ridged it is from the battery pack. You don’t need two jacks this is more work lol

    • @kcaegis45
      @kcaegis45 Месяц назад +1

      You need at least 2 jacks to do a cross pattern rotation which Tesla now recommends after 19/05/2024 modified Model Y Service for Tire Rotation.

      @@kcaegis45 I’m talking about the video he does front to back/back to front. You don’t need two jacks in a model 3.

    I wish you should have marked Front of the vehicle to identify front and back
    I guess Front is bottom.of the diagram, right?

      From what I gather…. front is top, towards lettering in diagram. He pulls both rears straight forward, then crosses fronts to the rear.

    Can u rotate with just ONE jack ???

    • @Toob41
      @Toob41 Год назад +1

      Yes, but only front to back in straight line as Tesla recommend. One jack can lift both wheels on one side but best to use a jack stand on the non-jacked wheel.
