these are my favorite Supras as well...I had an '86 MKII that I freaking LOVED, but when it dies @ 285k, I couldn't afford to do a swap (plus it was my business vehicle at the time, and I could not have any down time between vehicles)...

Thanks for the instructional video! I had an R154 break in my 84 Cressida that's swapped. I had installed a Marlin Crawler thrust washer in it previously but one day I was driving spiritedly, slammed it into 3rd and it wouldn't go into 3rd anymore, so I have to pull it apart again. This video should give me a little bit more sight into what I need to look for.
I’m 39 yr old. My first car was a 1988 Supra turbo. I loved that car. The radio had cool eq that lights up. The headlights squirts washer fluids. It was fast in the late 90s. It really was a cool car. Mine was black with tan leather.
Just a note about locktite: it's thermoplastic and becomes liquid(ish) at around 200°C. So if you suspect that someone used that, heat the screw up and it should become loose.

I thought, best sound ever when I heard it. Getting it clean and hoping to God I didn't gouge the aluminum removing them paper gaskets, back in the day.
Miss my MKIIIs. The 3.9 diff is from US 87/88 Turbos, US 89-92 turbos got 3.73s, while non-turbos got 4.3 for every year, except they could either be limited slip or open. It's a good way to fine-tune your gearing for highway pulls or drag races
I love these so much. Gonna suck when the market starts to sky rocket in price. My buddy in college had a 2jz-ge swapped into his 87 Supra. Welded the diff and it was pretty fun to slide around NA
Love the supra and wish I didn't have cancer abd funds so I could finish my 91 300zx that's been waiting to be finished for 3 years. I'd like to dive it before I die. Good job. Love the videos.
Thank you, I already had a new wiring harness done when I had the motor pulled to do the timing and got alot of new parts for the motor and had alot of parts hydro dipped to match the green color of the car and before I was able to get the motor put back in and get the interior redone the cancer hit me and now I'm on disability and can not afford to put money in the car.
You should ditch that Tavarish guy, lol, you're the real star. I really like what you guys are doing with this channel. Stay safe and thanks for the hard work.
