Plus they can always play their older songs in tours. The past is not lost. The present is not drowned by the past either.

Sustainable concert yes maybe. When you can run a 44 ton articulated lorry on electric then you’ve cracked it. 42 artics currently being used on their current Portugal run. Running from Le Havre, £1200 to fill a tank! How many miles to the gallon I don’t know

I was just so shocked . In Ireland you would prob pay 80 quid or so . I guess they have a huge electric bill and it would help but aren’t the floor all energy connected with your wristband so you power the gig ?
The tickets were amazingly good prices. The cheapest tickets for Wembley were 35 quid and next up were 60. Very reasonable price considering its coldplay in Wembley. I've paid similar price for bands not as big and for what you get was very much worth it. 2 supporting artists, 2.5 hours of coldplay, and a night worth remembering
This is well intentioned, but ridiculous. Bicycles to power the show? People want to enjoy the music, not peddle like a hamster on a wheel. The environmental technology just simply isn’t there yet. Maybe some day it will be and it can compete with the means we use now, maybe it never will. It doesn’t change the fact that only western countries will sacrifice themselves for this matter, most other countries around the world like China will continue to expel waste. How are we going to stop that? Increase tensions and start a war with them and actually trash the Earth? So maybe we should stop living in our own delusions and be a little realistic for humanities sake. I think we all can agree bands should focus on music and those who listen to them, not political activism.
There are so many bands whose key focus is activism, especially coldplay and has been for years. The screens tell how much energy was powered through the shows and you're more than welcome to hop on and off the bike/ mats. Think you need to go outside and open your ears if you're surprised with activism, especially coldplay
Great band, great show. But those led wristbands are just one e-waste pile for each show 😢 4 million trees, but also 4 million wristbands. @coldplay not very sustainable in my book.
