The lie about biofuels production necessarily meaning food scarcity comes from one widely debunked study by a quack scientist named Pumentel, who was hited by oul producers to torpedo biofuels production. The spurious "findings" were quickly and widely debunked, but he published first and was pushed by money from oul, so the propaganda stuck in people's minds. Methanol works as well as ethanol, and can be made from the waste from food crops which weighs more than the feed cops, and it can be made from weeds, like the scourge of Kudzu in the US southeast, which would be a huge resource, instead of a noxious weed that costs half a trillion $ a year in damage to infrastructure currently.
They use the distillers grain for cattle feed
