(Intel Core i9-14900K ): Intel's 14th-generation Core ‘Raptor Lake Refresh’ series debuts with three top-end overclockable models, the 6 GHz $589 Core i9-14900K, $409 Core i7-14700K, and $319 Core i5-1600K, facing off with AMD’s Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 lineup. Intel's 6 GHz 14900K marks a new high clock rate for a standard chip, but it's actually Intel's second chip to reach that high watermark - the pricey $700 special-edition Core i9-13900KS also pegged the needle at 6 GHz, but this time around that level of performance costs about $100 less.
