Hello , Cheers for the video and all the tips !!! Really like and appreciate your work and reviews. Got a question for you, for gaming only, wouldn't AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, be a better choice over all ? And if not too much trouble, could you make a video/review for this one as well? For some reason i can't rly get good info about AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D , even though i believe it's one of the best ones if not the best one for gaming builds.
7900 and 7950 have two caches one high speed one low speed, because of that the performance varies quite a bit by game to where in some games the 7800 outperforms the 7900 or 7950, its bad scheduling for the most part. also price difference of like 200+ $
Yeah and when the 14700k comes out, you might as well wait for the 15700k. Or how about just buy the AMD and have fun now. For gaming, nothing beat it.
And nobody tells that 7800x3d with 60W of CPU package power is the same as 180W of Intel 13900k if you compare cooling perfomance. I have the same temps with the same cooler (Noctua U-12A) for both CPU (60W for 7800x3d and 180W for 13900k).
Budget for build is 1.2k GBP. I'll be using it for strategy games like hearts of iron 4, stellaris, gates of hell, total war etc. All CPU intensive applications mostly.@@metromelvin
tysm for the core speeds / power draw sections! it was extremely helpful ^.^
You’re welcome!
Amazing video as always keep it up
Thanks! Will do
Can you sufficiently cool a 7950x3d with arctic liquid freezer 280mm AIO?
Yes its the best aio on the market
May I know, which Bios are you uaing, and how stable it has been for you

This dropped like a 100 bucks. Never buy x3d in the first 3 months. 😅
@tft_and_chilllike what problems?
@tft_and_chill i want to buy this cpu for gaming and editing. But i dont know what wto do. Intel or amd. Build in itx
@@Sabakoe737i wouldn't get this for editing. Wait for the intel 14700k

Facts, got mine for $379 at microcenter couple weeks ago

Great for gaming, for just 8 cores this should be priced much closer to £300.
Even tho it stomps cpus in games with many more cores lol.
Just bought one brand new locally from a guy who decided to go Intel instead. $340 not bad , not great but good price.
It is good but it cost like 450 bucks. Most gamers would rather invest into decent GPU than 450$ bucks on CPU.
$370 at Microcenter right now - it's a good alternative to a 13700k which cooks without proper cooling.
7800X3D has a small chance you get one that melts your cpu/mobo
@@palidanek74wasn’t that a issue with Asus motherboards?

Hello I plan to do a full upgrade midway or later into 2024. Would you say this CPU is worth it or should I wait for Arrow Lake and Zen 5 ?
Purpose and budget?

I like reading the Intel fanboys comments which aged like milk.
