Les Fines Lames MONAD Ashtray | Review

Up until late 2020, Les Fines Lames was a company that made one product: cigar knives.
Now, the French company is selling two types of products thanks to its MONAD and DYAD ashtrays. Both are offered in the same five colors and are made in Paris using mortar. Resident ashtray guru Charlie Minato gives his thoughts after using the MONAD for over two months.

I’m totally getting one of these. As a european, I like to buy european made products as much as possible, and this one is very reasonably priced compared to a lot of other european made ash trays. Also, I shouldn’t have to worry about leaving it on my balcony compared to a 300 euro porceline ash tray.

"Find beauty in the imperfections" literally translates into "skip the shaker table to save time and money, skip the entire rework phase to save more time and money and use Japanese phrases in marketing to imply otherwise!"
That settles it. I'm going to start casting "luxury, high-end" concrete ashtrays. :D
