HVAC Engineer here. Your ventilation setup is expertly executed, your install is exactly as I'd have done it myself!
How much do you estimate to the ventilation costing?
@@jamiegarcia7582 Depends on the size needed. A room that is 10x10 for example would need around 300 CFM. That’s roughly $200
@@mothersmilk8370 $200 for installation seems incredibly reasonable. I was thinking it would cost somewhere around $2000. Thank you, I am definitely going to do this for myself then if it is that reasonable.

Awesome renovation! Did you paint the trim and walls the same sheen? If so, was it flat, egg shell, or satin? I am about to start on my office/cigar room.
Your first cigar room inspired my own ATF room build, and it's a life changer. Not sure if cigars are healthy, but the stress relief of chillin' in a climate controlled space that's all your own is second to none! Keep up the great vids! #whiskeyroom #cigarbible
Quick about health. American Health Association (I think it was them, not 100% sure) did some research and found no correlation between smoking cigars (unlike cigarettes) and lung cancer.
@@jeykey7140 This would seem contrary to the The National Institute of Health/National Library of Medicine and American Lung Association.
To be clear, I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m big on moderation and not cutting out the things in life that bring joy. I’m under no illusion that the cheeseburger I eat is good for me but one a week as part of a healthy diet and regular exercise is just fine. I’m not planning on having one daily though. Bourbon and cocktails are my typical indulgence but I’ll have a nice cigar every now and then out of my humidor.
@@jeykey7140Anytime you burn something and inhale it you’re putting carcinogens into your lungs. Yes, that includes cigars. Cigars most certainly have carcinogenic compounds that lead to cancer, heart disease, copd and other various ailments.

When I first started watching your channel years ago I had just bought a house, gotten married and had a daughter. Long story short house caught fire and the wife and I bought a new one. Well in the buying and slight remodel we were doing, putting in all hardwood b/c the carpets were filthy and other small stuff, we hired a contractor to help. Great guy and he went so far as to ask if my wife minded his workers smoking, because she had mentioned she hated the smell of cigarettes. Well she said if they were smoking a cigar or a pipe she didn't mind, now my wife had made me stop smoking and this was news to me. There was a space upstairs that my wife told me could be my Man Cave. I watched your first video about your cigar lounge and well I'm finally 3 years later getting around to building my room into my lounge. Even though I run both of my side jobs out of it, I'm a LEO full time, and have enough whiskey to make you think a drunk lives in my house I'm still trying to make into somewhere I can relax and get some work done with a smoke and a drink. Currently I'm making an old fashioned bar to put in there along with a stand up humidor.

Love the amp’s. I have a “Music Man 65” original 74 model. First year they came out. My father bought it and handed it down to me. I know it’s a hybrid but it’s still one of the old school ones lol. Love the room too dude.

This is what heaven looks like, I can’t wait to get there. This is the dream, I have been doing up one of my rooms for a few years but nothing like on this level or size. We purchased a brand new house over the summer that had a dining room but also a space off the kitchen that could be used as a dining area as well plus a large island with room for stools so I told my husband why don't we just turn the dining room into a whiskey room for him. I showed him your video. We painted it Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams. Got cabinets from Home Depot which we're painting the same color. He found an old school record player. He has a bunch of albums that were just sitting in the garage. We're currently putting it together now. He's so excited to have a space like this in our house.

I'm not implying you don't already, but man you should count your blessings! You're living a DREAM of mine! I'm secluded to a, rather nice, back porch for my cigar, whiskey, TV lounge. But my ultimate dream is to have an indoor room like this and you have the exact stuff I'd have in mine. Leather couch. Woodwork furniture. And a nice whiskey display. I have a lighted display also but it's hidden in my dining room. Anyways, super stoked for you man and I love the room. And im nit riding your nuts. I'm serious. Love it. Pro tip for the coolidor… get a pack of orbeez and put them in the humidifier tray. It prevent the water from sloshing out when moving the drawer rapidly and it also acts like a boveda by creating some 2 way action. Keeps it between 67-70rh consistently

Awesome room! Only suggestion is you should look at the Samsung Frame TV to replace that TV. Really blends in and can display art and photos when not in use. I have 2 of them and love them.

Great Job on the room, cant wait for the video 3 years from now when the storage will need to increase to 800 or 1000 bottles because you know that's how it goes. There was a day when a "100" count humidor was going to be plenty of room for me. I have a NewAir dual zone beverage cooler and it's great except for one small thing. When the power goes out, the temperature resets to the factory default of 56º. There's nothing worse than going to grab a luke warm beer or soda after being out in the heat because the power blipped yesterday and you didn't realize it or didn't remember to go lower the temperature.
The room looks fantastic!!! Great place to chill and enjoy life a bit. The backlights gives the wall a great vibe.

I personally don’t smoke anymore had my chest cracked two years ago but I love bourbon and whisky like it’s a disease. But I do have a cap to what I’ll pay for booze. Loved your old shelf, but the new one damn, for presentation it’s just amazing. I myself have all my bottles stored in a shelf besides my books, blurays and all the other stuff. So, every few months I have to move around an incredible amount when my collection no longer fits. At some point I have to get myself a shelf just for the good old brown liquid gold, but first I have to get my best friend to stop squeezing his bottles into a cabinet.
