The sad thing is few of her "fans" actually care about the supposed abuse she went through.
It's because to them she is hot and idolized. So if their idolized sudo realationship is attacked they sympathize and defend her no matter what.
Same could be seen in the whole Amoranth drama with her partner.
It also shows how blind they are to her rotten petsonality, wich makes us peoole on the outside second guess who the abuser in the realationship was. Or at least see that she is obviously not innocent.
Her fanbase however is not only blind to it, but they fired up her behavior in chat in the first place. They are why she has financial success from being this disgusting.

No, this is absolutely abusive behavior. Look at the damage it has done to his psyche. He is a total slave. Similar strategies are used to torture people; presenting something desirable as if it is a real option, only to abruptly take it away is a power move. Was used by my father for years. Fucked me up for a long time until I completely cut him and the rest of my family out.
The people that are denying it are likely suffering from similar shitty relationships and are subconsciously defending their oppressors. Stay frosty friends

As an ex doormat a trick I've been using that I think really helps is "would I do this towards someone else? Friend or enemy?" If the answer is no you don't need to think any harder about it. Your "friend" is dogshit for doing something you wouldn't even do to someone you hate. Period. Doormats have a tendency to twist reality and gaslight themselves, I used to do that alot. "My feelings don't matter" he says, I used to have that same mindset too. Because I was used to being bullied, abused even. When people treat you like you don't matter for years and decades it becomes your normal.

    • @maceywalker266
      @maceywalker266 5 месяцев назад +14

Very well said. As a fellow ex doormat, I also gaslit myself and would make endless excuses for people's behavior. "Oh, they just had a bad day."
"Everything is ok. I think that bothered me because I'm a bit sensitive right now. It really wasn't that bad."
"This feels off but I can't say anything because it would hurt their feelings."
I think your suggestion to ask yourself if you would treat someone how they treat you is a great way to find clarity about a situation and shake yourself out of potentially gaslighting yourself.
I didn't really figure that out and have it solidly resonate with me until a year and a half ago. I finally woke up. No fucking way I would treat people the way some specific "friends" treated me. I also used to feel so bad because of the ways I was treated. I'd think, I must be a horrible person to deserve this. NOPE! I went back and evaluated everything, read all our texts (when things got bad our relationship was > 95% via texts, aka almost completely documented in black and white). Guess what I found? Me consistently being a great friend and this horrible person making up lies and telling me I did and said "mean" things that literally never happened.
Congrats to both of us for waking up, walking away and now being ex doormats. I bet its made both you and me passionate about pointing out when other people are not being treated well and telling them they deserve so much better.

incredibly insightful comment and so helpful. All of us hate bullies and we want to defend the underdog. You have been victimized, and sadly, as a guy, if this was a guy who treated you badly I'm ashamed of my gender. Another way to look at this is to set up strong boundaries around being treated with respect, dignity, and love. NEVER let someone cross those.boundaries without immediate punishment, and if necessary, walking away from the relationship.

When i had a crush on my highschool ex, i helped him from bullies and we became friends but then he started acting strange like a "doormat" and i didnt know this behaviour was a thing at the time so when he put me in that position of the girl in the video by saying weird shit, it would be so arkward because im trying to be respectful and normal, we grew close and his behaviour got worse i dont know if he was anxious i still dont know but i had to harshly break up with him because he wouldnt take a hint or distance himself, fucked me up mentally because i thought i was tripping on him😭 but when i look back his behaviour is the same from the video but extreme.

@@maceywalker266 I'm glad to hear my comment resonated with you. That's why I'm so active with writing comments on RUclips these days, because I want others to learn from my mistakes, and to take away some wisdom I have learned along the way. You said it has made me passionate about helping people. Yes definitely! I'm almost obsessed with it to be honest. And sometimes I'm almost worried I'm a little too obsessed. Me helping others is my way of getting revenge for the shit I have gone through, so that's why I'm obsessed. It's like a daily "**** you" to my past bullies. If I can help someone who is being mistreated to possibly leave that situation then that's revenge to my own bullies! Ex doormat in recovery, it's gonna take a long time before I'm 100% cured. It takes a long time to change bad habits. But realizing my worth and to not tolerate bullshit is definitely a great start. Nice talking to you friend!

This type of woman isn’t just toxic for men, but they’re a parasite on other women as well. I knew a girl just like this since primary school. Because I was young and immature, I was happy being friends with some people purely for entertainment and assumed her role as an entertaining friend was rooted in something similar. Ages later I ended up dating a guy who also knew her as the girl he rejected. Because I was still naive, I assumed it wasn’t a big deal and projected my own mentality on her thinking “well she’s hot and doesn’t have a shortage of guys after her so she’s probably moved on”. I had been in the same situation before where a guy I liked rejected me for a friend and I was honestly just relieved if he was going to reject me, at least it was for someone who I knew was cool and respected. I remember after she finally admitted it to me, initially hesitating in fear of making me jealous, it was so nice to laugh it off and we came out as better friends as a result. Having that mindset as well as knowing that it had been a few years before I got with my bf at the time, i took the person we knew in common as an opportunity to reach back out to her to catch up after a long time. When she invited me out to go clubbing with her and her friends I was honestly just excited to finally have a drink with her now that we were both legally able to do so. Omg that night did not go as planned. Her friends were much nicer to me than her the whole time. She tried physically blocking me out of photos with them (which I forced my way into to steal the spotlight because damn I looked good that night), have me follow her around to meet guy friends of hers to show off all the guys she knew (which she would cut off as soon as one or a few of them showed signs of liking my look), and even ditched her friends who were being nice to me to make me feel more isolated. It’s embarassing, but a lot of these passive aggressive moves went completely over my head until I bumped into an old guy friend there who knew her better in recent years explained everything to me and advised me to either hang with him and his mates or leave to save me from any more trouble. I ended up just going home, needing to isolate myself to process everything as it completely shattered my perspective on our entire friendship since primary school. I think it was just disappointing seeing the first friend I ever snuck out on the weekends with for wholesome mall trips turn into such a pathetic bitch over a guy who didn’t want to hook up with her.

He is used to being disrespected, used, laughed at and he is probably tired of feeling alone and less than other people. I can relate because I grew up with my mom, my brothers, my “friends”, everybody reminding me, almost daily, of how aesthetically unappealing I am.
In my early twenties I was where this guy is, and I got involved with a guy who disrespected me to levels I can barely conceive. Remembering those years is shameful but then again, I fully understand why I accepted such treatment and I have forgiven myself for failing myself in such a way. He will realize with time that this is unacceptable and he will find a way to respect himself and find the things that are valuable about him. I got lucky and had computer skills he needed for a class and took care of the toadies who actually were cowards on the side. Another kid was not as lucky and tried to stand up to him and was beaten to a pulp. He later ended up in prison for killing someone in a bar fight. That's a huge thing I'm seeing from this video and it shows that you don't have to place hands on someone to still be abusive. Most people tend to only look at abuse as strictly physical, but this is a great example of verbal abuse that many folk endure. Even to the point of the mod even defending her.
