It's so different when the hoarder herself invites help, unlike the US programs where they don't get help until they are going to be evicted or lose their children -- they don't see their clutter as hoarding.
What is shown in the American version is nothing but "entertainment," just like all of "reality" television. There's very little truth, the backstories are often put together from bits and pieces of nothing, and there's an entire production crew directing every move throughout the filming process. Not that the UK and British versions are much better, but they do tame down the nonsense reactions that Americans are forced to put on.
And some of "WE" (us) maintain a very clean home and environment simply because "WE" want to have sanity, order, cleanliness, and organization in our lviving spaces. I'm an artist, and my apartment is very clean, neat, tidy, organized, and maintained in very good shape.
Classic for our age group, I'm 68 and know, my parents went through the Great Depression when small, then WWII, it's rations and shortages, then the 1950s and 60s, trying to distance themselves from those agonist, and desperately clinging to ALL inherited items at the same time. Everyone's different...my Dad just enjoyed record albums and fixing things after work (like my nursery lamp!)..the mom, more acquisition oriented. And although I see this clearly NOW, having had to downsize, I'm still finding caches which might allude to childhood insecurities. !! It's ingrained a bit still.. I've been attacking the old papers this week... :) For this dear heart, one can imagine, in between acting jobs, you had to keep your chin up, somehow!!
She herself admits that the hoarding is a symptom of a problem of depression and loneliness and lack of work. I really hope that she is able to get some counseling otherwise she's likely to create another hoard. I wish her the best of luck.
She won't "create another "horde"---that means "a large group of people," and she was far too old to create even one---but she very likely created another HOARD.

This lady has been an extreme hoarder for years; I remember Stelios, the guy who used to help hoarders back in 2018. Back then she had a rat infestation. Like most hoarders, she will probably hoard for the rest of her life.
Which woman are you talking about? There were two different women in this episode--which is very old---and while I remember Stellios helping many people, I don't recall which of these two he saddled himself with.
I like her personality- a real character! I used to love watching EastEnders all those decades ago. It's easy to create clutter over accumulating things over the years and not wanting to waste things. I like to re-purpose things before adding to landfill. There's too much consumerism - we're bombarded with advertising to entice us to buy. I wish Trisha well and hope she gets cast in a production again soon.❤
I had the responsibility of emptying my sister's place after she died. She had 14 coats! It hadn't gotten to the really dangerous stage, but a friend hauled off 32 lawnsized trash bags of clothing, and I removed 6 months' worth of junk mail from her dining table.
Oh, dear! The condition of the "actress's" house is deplorable AFTER the cleanup! It would take tens of thousands of dollars just to make it basically livable again.

She's actually clean. I've seen some really bad hoarding. This lady is fun and I hope she lives well.
She ain't clean sis
Nobody needs that much stuff! I'm the same BUT I'm decluttering BIG TIME!!
We creatives seem to have this problem more than others. We see potential and beauty in many things. We feel deeply.

I recognize her. Hope she gets her beautiful home back in order.
It's from The Hoarder Next Door with Stelios; she had a husband back then.
@@gillianbrookwell1678 ah, ok, thank you!

She is such a hoarder she picks up a vacuum hose and forgets what its for and says 'This is ah uh whatever!?". That was funny. 🤣
What a delightful woman and I love the colors she wears! ❤❤❤
"Delightful"??? 🙄
That lady is delightful!

love watching hoarders

She has a bubbly personality and she wants to declutter but lacks the discipline to do so.

La mujer con blusa roja también salió en el programa limpiadores compulsivos ✨✨✨
❤❤well done
She’s already done this before! If this is real?
This episode is very old, so I'm sure she's done it several times in the years between the first time, and this episode.
What a lovely person. ❤
So happy for you dear Trisha , by the way your vacuum is hateful (12:08).
I never understood why if you have all that space and you do that……

So buy garbage bags and throw the shit out clean your house 🏠
It should be that easy but it’s not, because it’s mental illness.
Easier said than done when the person has a mental illness.
Easier, kinder, and smarter to throw "roselauk3211" and the unwarrantedly filthy comment out.
