    What I do with the soy bean pulp is boil it again in hot water for 40mins and then blend it up in my food processor to help smooth out that rough texture and it works like a charm!

    This is amazing. Thank you. I was vegan a few years ago but I’m going to go back to being vegan. It’s easy as I’m British Indian and also with Chinese food or any Asian cuisine. I’m in London too and it’s so easy to be plant based or vegan. Thank you for this channel as I love Chinese food!

    I cooked it for today’s dinner. Unfortunately mines were too soft and it loses it shape when I tried to cook it on a pan.
    Anyway, I decided to bake them at 350F for 30 minutes and it came out amazing. Thanks for the recipe.

    I tried cooking the vegetables prior to adding the okara, soy sauce etc. and the whole thing became way too wet. I tried adding more okara which made it more maleable but I couldn't get it to crisp up as meatballs. :/ I gave up on the meatballs decided to add the whole mixture and cook it up a bit which came out tasty! Just a heads up to people that wanna cook this - you'll probably be better off doing it exactly as in the video. I'll try that next time :)

    Getting back into making homemade soy mylk so am happy to find okara recipes here. Looks like I could also do an italian version too which adds to the versatility of these. I would par cook then freeze them. Looks like about 1 C okara used for this? I am making a batch of soy mylk every 5 days so will have a ready supply of okara for many neat balls/patties etc.

    How to make sure the soybean pulp is fully cooked? If raw might cause health issues? 😊

  • @secilakyldz3554
    @secilakyldz3554 2 года назад +2

    Should I boil my soy milk with the pulp or separate it from the pulp? I mean is the okara need any pre cooking?

    • @m.taylor
      @m.taylor 2 года назад +3

      I simmer the soymilk with the pulp for about 15-20 minutes but it requires frequent stirring to prevent pulp sticking to the pot.
      If you separate the pulp before simmering the soymilk, then I suggest steaming the pulp for about 30 min before using it in a recipe.

    I cooked a dish like this and it gave me the runs. I think it was because the soybean fiber was difficult to digest. I don't know how to make sure it is cooked enough to digest easily.

    is the pulp already cooked, from cooked soybeans?

    • @ZenaHerbert

      Good point. It won't have been cooked because it's the residue from the soaked, pulverised soya beans once they're strained

    To get the colour on the balls, I think I’m going to dunking the balls in oil and putting them in an air fryer… because I don’t think I got the skills or patience to pan fry them

    And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)
    And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (Revelation14:9-11)
