If you're eating nitrogruel and suddenly have a memory of slipping and falling into the mixing vat while screaming in terror before your body is mechanically shredded in the darkness under the ingredients...
... you shrug your shoulders, because that's not the first meal that you've had like that.

That's pretty much Konrad Curze on Nostramo.
It's eat or be eaten on Nostramo, literally and figuratively, and he's a Primarch so he ate a lot. He got to munch on the worst of humanity.

ENS is just the peripheral nervous system that extends into the digestive tract. It's not a 'brain' per say. What's important about it is the different receptors It's riddled with, which run automated processes for the brain like the release of gastric biles, amylase, and other digestive processes like peristalsis.

In Warriors of Ultramar the Chapter Master basically forces Uriel Ventris to drink his blood infront of other Ultramarines to give him a glimpse at his visions of the future. Codex Astartes my ass, gotta love Mortifactors for the balls.

@@user-yl7kl7sl1g the vagal nerve and symphatetic trunk innervates visceral organs, though isn't there a simpler explanation for this?, that a recipient might try to befriend their donor, cuz they litterally saved their lives (though for heart they're probably already ded, so idk, maybe they get it from the donor's relatives or indirect information of how one is like)?, friendship is the one that make them take a part of their personality?, there is also the stress of organ transplant that may creates an environment for such tales to exist?, but even if there might be an information storage transfer, theres also host rejection thing lol, and there is no big information systems to transfer, (something like the hopfield network might explain or partially ressemble how memories are actually stored/work)
And this doesn't explain/complicates total amnesia(the organ is fine, but how do we lose all the memory even though only the brain is damaged?) and personality changes, personality disorders etc. While nothing interventive is being done
And also wouldn't it be a bit dispersed if somehow my memories, preferences, and habits are at different organs(it's also a bit gruesome to think for a bad habit being possible to be dissected away lol)? And also this doesn't explain synthetic transplant (synthetic body parts) and nerve severing, (how can we keep that information while it's severed?, the implication is that do we lost some memories and personalities when we have an organ failure or an organ is injured?)
Plus all claims must be subjected to intense objective repeatability lol (if it can be repeated a ton of time, and double blinded as well, if it is not then it is not really provable and everything might as well be true), there is a test for what is true or not
"My memories doesn't define me be like",
Such things doesn't need to reflect reality, but it's values can still worm it's way into our everyday views, so always becareful with tales hahaha
And by the way if it is true, we can look into the system that stores that memory and modify it to our needs, we can have organic memory sticks hahaha, visceral organs are more reachable with drugs(doesn't have the blood brain barrier thing), we can create new medicine with this lol,
If it is this easy, we could forge our own personalities, want what we want, etc lol
      Have a fulfilling day :3
(Cellular memory is contentious to say the least, though i'm more to fudamental information system than strictly biological or mechanical, so that such computronium is just the same to me, just that if true it is much less efficient than neuronal connections)
